Apparently we accepted offers from Sampdoria(€9m) & Swansea(€10m) for Kostas Mitroglou yesterday, but Benfica refused to end his loan. And that despite us willing to offer them compensation.

Guess the plus side is, if he keeps scoring for them, we should get a good price in the summer to add to the transfer treasure trove then.

Someone has leaked the Mitroglou to Benfica deal! Apparently we got an 800k euro loan fee and Benfica pay all his wages. They also have an option to buy at an agreed fee of 7 million euros.

Who thinks that Mitroglou could have done a job for us this season??

I think he is better than anyone up front that we have at the moment.

Perhaps, but it would depend entirely on his attitude. Ever since we got relegated, he has had the air of a man who doesn't really want to drop down to the championship. An unhappy, unmotivated Mitroglou wouldn't improve us, though a committed, energised one certainly would.

I feel that if we could maintain our championship status, and cash in on the want away players
we may be able to buy what the manager chooses, with the proviso that Rigg keeps his snout out
of the trough and Khan does not want to pocket the proceeds.
