Vardy, in particular, has ridiculous pace. If Mertesacker plays, you can bet Leicester will target him!

Your best chance, IMO, is if you score early. They'll then be forced to be more expansive, which would suit you.

Oh, and watch out for Kante. He's a livewire, never stops running, aggressive, and an all round pain in the arse for any opposition.

... HIAG not sure if you actually watch any football? ... thay are completely different types of player ... Mahrez takes people on for fun at pace and has a real goal threat in him in his own right ... Ozil is far more of a play-maker and creator ... how many times have you seen himm go past two or three players at once? (other than against Spurs perhaps <laugh>)

let me try and put it in words you might understand ... it's like comparing Dele Alli with John obe Mikel ....

  3. So, what you're saying, if I am not mistaken, Fossil, is that Woe-zil is twice the player that Mahrez is, correct?

  7. So, you're now saying that Mahrez is the better player?

    Make you mind up, Fossil!!

No I'm merely showing you a nice picture so that you can print it off in black-and-white then colour it in at home ...

  9. I'm not really sure that that has anything to do with this discussion we're having.

Arsenal comfortably beat Leicester in their first meeting, but they're not playing nearly as well at the moment.
Wenger's team selection could easily make or break this game.
If he doesn't do enough to deal with the counter-attacks or set-pieces, then they might come as unstuck as City did.
Take their chances, though and they could shake the title race up completely.

Somebody else commented that HIAG has a 'scratch the surface knowledge of football'. I think he might have been referring to those old scratch cards where you had to the 'spot the ball' and scratch off he right circle.

  12. Given the choice of either of tgem joining Liverpool (obviously not a realistic scenario), I'd take Mahrez every single day of the week.

He is without question your best player and I said add much well before Christmas. Vardy gets the goals but you wouldn't be where you are without Mahrez imo

  13. Mahrez is going to be one of the first out the door, at Leicester, unfortunately for them.

... just as likely as Kane and Alli leaving Spurs.... unfortunately for them .. actually that may be more likely if you look at owner selling traits .. such is life in the football world ... :)

  15. You and I both know that we are one of the clubs likely to be bidding on Mahrez. Not sure where he'd fit in at the moment, though.

:) ... we are preparing a £23 M bid for Ahmed Musa ..we are building not selling ..you may just as well bid for Segio Aguerro ...he won't be joining you either ..

  17. Now, Aguerro would suit us nicely! He'd get regular game time, whereas I can see Mahrez warming our bench more often than not.

  18. Don't agree with you often but I do there. He'll be the main target for the big clubs imo. Can't see him moving for less than £35m+ though

There was an interview on 5 live yesterday with an Algerian journalist who has followed Mahrez's career. He was saying that his agent tried to offer him to Roma and Wolfsburg before he joined Leicester, and that now he is there, he feels as though he is at the right place to develop his football. He didn't come through any academy and learned his trade playing street football, so as a result he has had to have certain aspects of his game coached into him. Apparently he didn't know how to take a throw it and needed to be taught how to do it ! As a result, he doesn't want to be on the bench at a big club because he has a desire to play every week so that he and continue his development.

  20. £35 million is a bit steep, but I think that's the price that Leicester will put on his head to try to put clubs off. With the silly money coming into the Prem I can certainly see Chelsea or United willing to pay it.
