I don't begrudge him that. Lifting it at the Bridge, Walkers stadium or the Maracana in Rio. As long as he lifts it. <ok>

  2. Looks like Leicester are going to do us a massive favour and beat Arsenal. It would be good tto put some clear air between us, going into the business end of the league.

yeah, but you're hoping they'll fold and you won't, forgetting how much pressure those Leicester players were under last season when everyone said they were down. Far less pressure going for the title than facing the drop.

  4. Not so sure about that, Ern.

There are still 36 points to play for (after today), which could yet put Leicester in mid table!

Nothing is certain, especially this season.

well, as I said on the Leicester board,
a couple more wins and they should be mathematically safe.

Mahrez is the key, as long as he's fit and on form they'll keep going, when Vardy was out other people scored.

Since Liverpool last won the league Peter Schmeichel signed for Man Utd, won it 5 times, retired, had a son & he's about to win it with LCFC

Such a fckin glorious stat it needs posting everwhere tbh <whistle>

  13. Well, I suppose if United are never going to win the title again, I suppose you United fans can live it vicariously through someone who has only a remote connection to your club. That's a well-known plastic trait.

And even if we did HIAG, neither of us will ever be doing with Spurs.

I disagree. Players can easily jump ship if their team gets relegated. Footballers arent attached to their clubs in the same way fans are. Obviously no player 'wants' to get relegated, but it wont exactly be career defining if they were to. Coupled with a 'nothing to lose, go for it' attitude and change of approach, pulling a few wins out of the bag is not unheard of. Still an achievement.

But incomparable to the pressure they are going to be under now. They are 13 games from an achievement that none of them would ever have believed possible, which will be arguably the biggest achievement by any sports team in history. Literally stuff of the movies. If they are still there or there abouts going into March, the pressure they will be facing in every single game will be beyond the comprehension of any of us. How many times have Arsenal, with they multi title winning manager and bags of big game experience, choked in the closing months of a premier league season? What happened to Liverpool 2 seasons ago - a team who had battered everybody for about 3 months, with arguably the most in form player in the world causing absolute mayhem, and they lost it in the dying stages.

There is no title winning experience in that Leicester team. As good as they are, and as much as every single neutral - myself included - woud absolutely love them to win it, there is a reason that every single premier league winning team has been packed full of proven, trophy winning players with proven, trophy winning managers. A premier league title run in is a different animal altogether.

All the above said - I would love it, LOVE IT (Keegan esque) if Leicester did it. But I simply cannot see it happening. Even now.

... you mean apart from Robert Huth's 2 title wins with Chelsea? :)

  19. Yes, Huth will get those Leicester boys playing dirty to keep the dream alive.

With the new Sky deal coming in next season, surely we will see one or two more Leicesters in the future?? Watford will have a bigger budget than Atletico Madrid.
