Our last few games post Derby on paper look a decent run in. Take nothing for granted in this league though!
Not so easy to beat but not a side that you fear scoring easily, we carry less much less threat of scoring away.
We lost what was always going to be one of our toughest games of the season, but Boro could only draw at home to Blackburn and Derby could only draw at Fulham. We're still top. As for Bruce ****ing up, he replaced two attackers with two attackers. Maybe if he replaced them with Alex and Hudd we might have got a point.....Just saying like.
He changed two players that were a part of a balanced team dominating Burnley; they immediately lost all domination.
It's disappointing but we'll know the impact of this result after the games over the next 3 weeks. If we're going to win the league, it's about how we respond to defeats.
Would have been happy with 0-0, but it strikes me if you're going to try and chase the win, then you CANNOT take Hernandez off and should have started Akpom form the off.
Diame and Hernandez have had a two week rest so surely could have played the full match, or switch Snodgrass more central in Diames place and bring Elmo on wide right, if you want to win you don't bring off your leading goalscorer, also how far down the pecking list has Diamonde slipped or was he a last minute panic buy. How many more times are we going to use Aluko as a striker it just does'nt work.
I think Bruce was happy with the draw at the start. The problem then comes if you go a goal down and tactics have to completely change. It's there's little time left you've had it really.
We came for a draw and messed it up big time ... In contrast you would think Leicester would of gone for a draw at Man City , but they went all out for the win, no fear , no regrets ...result .. Accomplished win and left nothing in the dressing room
Didn't mean to imply that I believed in supernatural forces. No more than I believe in your explanation of the law of averages. Which would in fact be better described as "gamblers fantasy".
