No leaders in this team - you only have to look at who our captain and vice captain are for starters.
Lots of idiots on here thinking it won't be like this next season, are you ****ing stupid? Were worse than when BR was in charge, JK's gonna have to revamp the whole squad to get anything out of the shower of ****e's on the pitch today. Gave Mignolet a new contract!! ****ing useless, It's gonna take another 2-3 years just to keep up. Watching Liverpool is like getting married, it's great at the start then slowly gets boring and predictable!!!
What is this continual wum about Klopp from you T? Most of us have stated he gets a bye this season as it's not his squad...I personally have done that with other managers and will do it with the next one too...doesn't mean I don't get disgusted with performances. It just confirms what I suspected...5 managers wouldn't make a good team out of this shower...BR paid the price for assembling them (rest of recruitment got away scott free) By all means after 3 years if the team looks and plays like this I'll call for Klopps head too....what exactly do you want us to say like? Our players are bottlers..it's ingrained in them. And in case you haven't noticed: most of them came from mediocre teams like that....5+5+5+5+5+5 will always come to 30 not 90 just because they pulled on a different strip!
If we're struggling against those teams next season, I'd start to question the setup at LFC. This season, it happened because Klopp has had little time to change the style of play, and it sometimes results in extremely disjointed performances, where 2-3 might "get" it and the rest don't so it looks awful. The EPL is a tough football league, the "average" teams can all spend 10-12 million on quite a few players and that has raised the bar significantly for what it takes to be a top team. We've spent terribly in the last few windows, barring the notable exceptions, and that is why we look distinctly average. It will take a little while to fix the mess, but I sincerely think it will happen.
I'm happy to stand corrected Frank. I just get the impression it comes across as always the players fault. Imo Klopp is finding things more challenging than he imagined. That's not to say he won't adapt given time, but at the moment he needs to share some of the blame. That doesnt equate to wanting him sacked btw or writing him off, but I think you have a squad good enough to be higher up the table in a league which is pretty average.
And I've rolled more joints than both of them. What conclusion are we to draw from this abundance of wonderful information?
I agree..I think from some of his comments so far he came very unprepared for the intensity and sheer quanitity of matches in this league. I think he has been unlucky with injuries to some of our more effective players. At the minute I think like us he's scratching his head at the idea a clib like Liverpool spent so much on so little... Honestly think a lot of our squad are not better than the rest of the league. I think we were yet again behind the times as a club...overpaid for over performing mediocre PL players just as the lower teams got enough money to start bringing in better players and start playing football.... By all means take a chance on a player that has a great season in a team like Saints etc..but don't make them the bloody spine of your squad!
in how many games??? what a disgrace. our only convincing win has come against a bottom 6 tier 4 team. :L
Brilliant protest by the fans that left and it was quite symbolic that the club crumbled in the last 15 - 20 mins without their support. Shame on the fans who stayed and refused to support the cause of ordinary, working class fans who are being priced out of going to Anfield. I guess it does show though that out of a normal match day crowd only about 20-25% of people are actually clued up on what is happening at the club. Not really bothered about the result because Europa, Carling & FA Cup should be our focus now and same old stuff happened so there's no point moaning about the same players making the same mistakes week in week out, it won't change until we replace them in the summer. Glad to see Firmino yet again proving his worth and showing why he'll be a crucial part of our team next year.
Good for you. We have to be as LFC fans. We'll never know whether Rodgers would have done worse. What we do know however is that the points per match for Klopp (1.4) is worse than that of Rodgers (1.5). As long as we have mignolet as GK we will stay a mid table team. We just have to get rid ASAP.
