Confirmed for Monday 22nd. I can make it with a fast car from work in Northamptonshire and no hold-ups on the M6. At least we will be guaranteed a place in the quarter-final draw. It will be fascinating to see which team LVG will play considering it is sandwiched between two Europa League games. I have a feeling our crazy topsy-turvy season will continue and fancy us to take it back to Old Trafford.
It will be an interesting game and hopefully we'll make the most of it and get through or at least a replay at theirs. I'm sure he'll play a weaker side of players, but will have to better ones on the bench just in case. Best to get a few goals early in then
After the BBC's pathetic coverage and punditry for the Sheffield Wednesday game it is a good thing its on BT sport. A United fan I know said the only worry would be our terrible pitch - typical of the complete ignorance of lower league football among Premier league fans.
I see Grandin has now signed - not sure if he is match fit but presumably should be eligible for the Cup. Kaikai on the bench for Palace today so we will probably not see him return.
They will probably interrupt it to go to a news flash that Donald Trump has sneezed or said something antagonizing.
Picked up my ticket on Tuesday just before closure of the shop. Only a small queue in front of me and very little hassle getting my seat.
Picked up my ticket today with the players coming in (though several were limping which was slightly worrying). Refreshments were provided for the queue but I was pleased there was no sign of Donald Trump as I don't like being insulted.
I see both Rooney and Fellaini are reported as being out of the game through injury. Looks like we will facing a young forward line.
It's going to be an interesting game, will he be in charge by Monday, or will that be the excuse they use.
I hope our lads do not get distracted by the circus surrounding LVG and Man U - their job is to give the opposition a very uncomfortable evening on Monday and see what happens. A place in the quarter finals would be massive for our club but we must not forget Man U must still be long odds-on to win it.
Mourinho reported by several papers to be waiting in the wings - lets hope the Man U players are too busy out clubbing to read them.
More pressure heaped on LVG then. Just hope the prawn sandwiches they eat at lunch time on Monday cause some jitters.
We have Manchester Utd gracing our Meadow for the first competitive game at the new stadium. Manchester are in the doldrums at the moment, having lost three, drawn one and won two games in the last six. They have 14 first team standard players injured including Wayne Rooney. The vultures are circling and rumours of Mourinho sitting in the shadows put more pressure on LVG. Reading the manure forums it seems that even some of their fans are wanting us to vein so that there is a change in management. The bookies are changing the odds in favour if a Town win too, which is always an ominous thing. Town are relatively fit, Grimmer is available after injury. We have some cup tied players, but thankfully Mangan and Co are all available. I'm guessing we will go for an attacking variant of our 532 formation, with plenty of pace and tough defensive players on the bench. I think everyone in town colours (and several other Prem clubs) are looking forward to a good game where hopefully town put up a good show and at least get a draw, if not win. Floreat Salopia
