I haven't seen any criticism of him on the Toon board and most of it is directed at McLaren. I was just wondering though, with all the talk of whether certain players are the right ones you want in a fight for survival, maybe Shelvey is one that loses his enthusiasm in those circumstances. Time will tell I guess.

Ki won't play a part against Palace , hope he gets back to full health soon as possible for his own good and ours .
Up till Ki got injured it was the best performance Imo , be it on TV or streamed , I seen Ki have since having a Swan on his shirt . One play in perticular , surrounded dangerously by multi West Brom players with seemingly no outlet , in the first half when he was covering for Taylor, he sent one the best passes I've seen this season cross field for a great counter attack ......superb . Good luck to him getting back , we need him . There is a good chance that Ki isn't hurt that much at all ( I hope ) .
It's a rule that if you have a suspected concussion you can't play for 6 days which is within the time frame between our West Brom and Palace games .

    Lawro's prediction

"Swansea looked very bright in their draw at West Brom and had enough chances to win the game.

Their new Italian striker Alberto Paloschi looked very lively when he came on in the second half.

Crystal Palace are on an absolutely awful run but I think their form will pick up.

I cannot see them being dragged into the relegation scrap, although it will help when Yannick Bolasie is back from injury.

The Eagles can get their new striker Emmanuel Adebayor fit in a couple of weeks and, when that happens, he will make a difference.

By that I mean keep the opposition centre-backs busy - which has not happened enough with Palace's strikers this season.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-2"

    ****ing hell!
    No Adebayor.
    No Bolasie.
    No Puncheon.
    No Ledley.
    No McArthur.
Cabaye and Gayle coming back from injuries.

What a golden opportunity for us!

....and Lawrenson still can't bring himself to predict a home win for the Swans <doh>

Hmm mostly attacking players. Expect Palace to camp in their own half and play for the draw. Can see it being a frustrating game, unless we score early and force them out. Then I'd expect us to put 2 or 3 past them.

We must surely do this. I expected more offence against West Brom but we nearly got away with that one! We're at home against a struggling side with huge injuries and Guids must have the confidence to go for this one. A vital three points there for the taking.

Freakishly, Palace's midfield and defence are almost intact within the melee of injuries they have .Their attack is in tatters though .
If Guido is ever going to dabble in a 3-5 -2 , now would be a good time imo
