    Stoke have apparently dropped their interest in Jemal who has already had his medical at Saints, so maybe expect something announced soon?

    Anyone seen his Twitter? Two weeks ago, he was saying 'thank you to my supporters' (in French) and somebody has replied 'come back soon' - this would tell you he's on his way somewhere... but where? I wonder if Adkins and NC had met up with him in Switzerland behind closed doors, whilst the squad was out that way for pre-season two weeks ago. If that was the case then this deal may have been going on a while just like the De Ridder one seems to have done.

    Unsubstantiated rumours that Nicky Maynard at St Marys for a medical, to be announced tonight - where have we heard that before? Interesting to see how this one pans out, given the hefty fee Maynard is likely to attract.

    Really can't see Maynard leaving Bristol City. I looked at their website the other day and he's plastered all over it regarding posters for new kits and season tickets etc etc.

    Their fans would kick up a right stink there if he went, unless he went for massive money to a Prem team.


    Anyway, are Saints one of the 10 teams that have enquired about David Goodwillie now his court case has been thrown out??

    I'd happily take Maynard, but see it as a waste of £4.5/£5million when a CB is more of a priority.
