Aguero will go to Man City for 45 million euros and will hopefully be replaced by Diego, Rossi and Elia (according to reports)
Bit dissapointed with Juanfran at first but he turned out to be quite good and should be a quality back up to Reyes next season. Godin was amazing until his injury and then took his time to come back but should be good for next season aswell.
    Tiago has already signed.
Cheers, and good luck next season to you as well, I think you should do well with your new signings especially Dong Won

    Cheers <ok>

I'll be supporting Malaga next season (after Sunderland, of course) looks like they are gonna really get in the mix for 4th place.

Didn't know Tiago had re-signed, but assumed he would, that's some signing for nothing, i like his composure on the ball.

Rossi and Elia would be superb buys, Elia is very similar to Simao in his prime (less the shooting from range, sadly), and Rossi is unbelievable in that league, it just suits his style perfectly.

If you take Rossi from Villareal, you'd have to imagine that would put you ahead of them, especially if they lose Cazorla to Malaga as well.

I think Reyes blows hot and cold, personally, and if i was your manager (which i ain't, clearly), i think Diego Capel from Sevilla would be a superb fit in your side.

Was really surprised Jurado went to Schalke as well, i thought he could go on to be a real player in Madrid.

Malaga got lucky with those owners, much like Man City, and have made some pretty good buys like Toulalan

I would hope it takes us above Villarreal as they seem happy to sell their players despite being in the champions league next season.

Reyes is my favourite player and was much more consistent towards the end of the season and Capel was sold to Sporting Lisbon I think for about 3 million euros which was suprising as he is only about 21 and very good.

It annoyed about Jurado as he was a quality player to bring of the bench and because of his versatility he gave a few options to us, although apparently Schalke are willing to sell for 10million.

Have you finished your spending for the summer? if not who are you looking at?

Oh I know he is Good BB but 164K would be astronomical for Shearer in his pomp IMO. We have to get a handle on the player power otherwise the whole thing will implode, more a go at the system that at Forlan cost to be fair.

Malaga have made some wonderful signings, added to Baptista and Comacho (who you'll know all about!), and Toulalan as you mention, there is Diego Buanonotte, a ridiculously skilful and elegant Argentine, Van Nistelrooy, who i doubted, but has scored for fun in the recent friendlies, Demechelis has signed for keeps now, and my personal favourite signing Joaquin, who although not the force he was, is still a cracking gung-ho style winger when he's on his game.

Capel went for 3million euros? I'm stunned at that, he's a player i love watching, and i'd have been crying out for us to sign hiom if i thought he was available for 4 times that!

He's far better than Perrotti, in my opinion, who i assume is the reason he's been let go!

Sadly, i am getting the feeling our spending IS over, which i think is a tragic waste as we are one player away, IMO, of a genuine push towards 7th.

Everybody knows of the N'Zogbia chase, and he, despite his rumoured flaws as a person, would be an absolutely perfect fit for us, complimenting Gyan and Sessegnon and giving us an almost unplayable front 3, looks like we've missed the boat on that one, sadly.

We haven't really got any strong links with anyone else, we wanted Welbeck back, but that door appears closed, and we turned down the chance to take Macheda of or Diouf as an alternative (i'd personally have taken Diouf, Macheda is ****e).

I think as it stands we should be good enough to hold 10th, and do it a bit more comfortably than last season, but i think we'll find it tough to go higher than 8th, i only see Vialla and Fulham as teams we can realistically close the gap on above us, although if we somehow did get N'Zog, i'd think we had a chance at Everton in 7th.

Camacho was amazing, always annoyed me that he never played. Two games spring to mind. 1)Man of the match debut vs Barca in a 4-2 win and the second was the europa league semi against Liverpool where he was bought on to stop Gerrard and then Gerrard only touched the ball once in the 30 mins (that being the kick off).

I agree those other players are good as well, although I still think their best player is Rondon.

I think N'Zogbia would have been class for you. I thought you were going to get a Europa league spot last season but it all seemed to go wrong after Jan, selling Bent? Missing out on Macheda is a dodged bullet, after that flukey goal on his debut he hasn't done much.Surely after adding a couple of goal threats you must believe that you can do better than Fulham and Everton barring an injury crises.

You must still have some money after selling bent and mugging off Liverpool for Henderson

Rondon is a beast, but expected to leave i think.

I think with Everton, their first 11 is superb, and the lack of movement in & out means they play fluidly as a team, and they are superbly managed by Moyes, if they have injuries, we have a chance of beating them for sure, but it'll be tough.

I'm hoping the Europa fixtures take it out of Fulham, they have a small squad and it's a lot of extra games, on a Thursday which reduces recovery time.

We're a bit baffled on the money, it's likely money is available, but the club is being sensible on wages, and not paying out beyond our means.

It's a risky strategy as the only way to increase revenue is success, and the only way to get success is to pay the extra wages for next level players.

Thing is with us, we could bring in a wow signing on deadline day, like Gyan last year.

We were told we were spent up, then we shelled £13million!

He would be an incredible singing for whatever lucky club purchases him
Maybe then N'Zogbia is still on the cards.
Gyan was surprising as I thought he would have a lot of teams competing for him after his performances at the world cup. £13m was a good price.
The opposite happened to us we were looking good then we sold Juardo for £13m on the deadline day

Jurado was a crazy transfer i thought, he was really feeling his way in, offered a goal threat, and the fact he went to Schalke as well was extraordinary.

I think the main thing Atletico need is a really top class attacking midfielder, or at least someone in there that can play both ends, Borja Valero would have been a good signing, or someone with a bit of finesse like Joao Moutinho, the gap to Villareal & Valencia, players wise at least, is virtually non existent.

Schlake also use him as a defensive midfielder which is weird as I never saw him make a tackle for Atleti.

Hopefully Diego (If he signs) can play the part of that attacking midfielder.

If he, a quality left winger and striker are bought then I will be confident of fighting for the champions league places next season

    NO!

He's done well in Spain and is clearly a class act, but he's getting on, is less productive and still needs the supply, which remains our problem.

Yeah Jurado was always either of the striker or down the right as i remember, i can't imagine him as a holding player at all!

Diego could be the man, it depends if you can get him motivated and back to his Werder Bremen form, it seems the move to Juve really knocked the lad, which is a shame because he's got so much talent.

Would you consider Vicente? I know Valencia have released him, but if he could get fully fit and back to anywhere near his best, he's superb.

He's only 29, and it's only a couple of years since Barca bid 30 million euro for him, i'm certain that somebody is going to pick up one of the best Bosman signings in history with him.

In fact, we're looking for a left winger!

I really do hope Diego becomes the player he was and possibly more.

Vicente used to be class but I think he got injured and lost a lot of pace which made him effective.
I guess he would still be a good option and would take him on a reasonable wage.

Signing him could be a masterclass but these things don't happen with Atletico.

    Ha,

I kinda see what you mean, whenever Atletico seem to be getting there summat trips you up, i remember you won the league a few years back, and you looked at it and thought you'd kick on, then it's back to mediocrity.

I always think Atletico are one of the entertaining sides, gung ho in the attack, and reckless at the back, i've kept an eye on Atletico since the Paolo Futre days (what a player!), i remember Man United had won the Cup Winners Cup, first season English clubs were allowed back in Europe, as defending champions Futre put in a totally staggering display at the Calderon and Atletico won 3-0.

BB - lets for just a brief moment of self indulgence think this ere possible.

I'd love to see one of the top strikers in the world at SAFC. Forlan is truly world class and if we were in the Champs League, he'd be worth every penny.

Right. Back to reality. Even if we offered it, he wouldn't come to us. He is destined to play for one of the top 3 or 4 clubs ion Europe IMO and we are nowhere near that.

We are however a progressive and ambitious club and I still feel there may be an ace up our sleeve yet in this window but it wont sadly be of the calibre of Diego Forlan. Still, in talking about it I have managed to give myself a canny semi for the last 10 mins, so all is not lost.

I'm off to see if the little lady is still awake next door.................. Lol

I agree, sadly that there's more chance of catching a virgin in the Bigg Market than us signing 'skeletor', ut what a lovely though, he and Gyan.

He's a 'goal from anywhere, out of nothing' player, and his performance last night will have reminded the big boys.
