fair point. (someone at some point is going to have to do a palace, like the thought or no.... ) also the point on selling tickets is entirely true. the club is now asking on website to hand them back in to redistribute but that ship has sailed IMO. @G'inho thoughts?
Liverpool supporters' groups are planning a walkout protest during Saturday's Premier League match at Anfield against Sunderland. The Spion Kop 1906 group - backed by the Spirit of Shankly (SoS) - have suggested fans leave their seats in the 77th minute in protest at the £77 top-priced ticket in the new main stand. The club have announced the increased price, up from £59, for next season. An SoS statement expressed its anger at "no explanation" from the owners. The statement added: "The outcome is extremely disappointing and a missed opportunity for Liverpool to lead in a fairer approach to ticket prices. "We believe it is right and fair to lower ticket prices in order to sustain our support and subsequently the atmosphere inside Anfield." Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre highlighted the freeze or decrease in 64% of season ticket prices and 45% of matchday tickets. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35494796
fair points. if you move to the top of the stand in the wind you can get pneumonia and cheaper tickets though.... I think that's fair.
I thought the last bit was interesting... "Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre highlighted the freeze or decrease in 64% of season ticket prices and 45% of matchday tickets." ...didn't they freeze pricing last year or did I imagine that?
there was a price freeze on senior tickets and reduction on junior tickets this season. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/183186-lfc-season-ticket-price-announcement there you go. not saying one way or other, just there's the facts as announced.
OK, I've had my say. You may agree or disagree at your leisure. We all have a right to our respective opinions. That's what forums and debate are all about, after all. I'm not anti-Klopp by any means - he's preferable to Rodgers in everything including personality and he is finally a top manager signing - and we need to wait until the summer window to see who he signs and how they pan out - but I'm sorry this current crop of players is a dead loss overall. You say money isn't the issue, but I'm sorry it is because it piles pressure on the likes of Benteke, who can't seem to produce the goods when needed; that said, what delivery is he getting when he actually ventures into the box? It's also an issue when not much was paid for your Vardy and Mahrez: there are comparisons made here. In terms of quality, those two are worth so much more right now to a buying club if they had their pick of the three. On present runs, there are few I would keep of the current choice barring Coutinho, Sturridge (and even that's at a push if he can't stay fit), Ings, Smith, Stewart, Brannigan, Teixiera (though he's not ours, anyway, not yet), Firmino, Flanagan, Sakho, Allen (never thought I'd say that!) - please feel free to add in anyone I may have missed. Even Lallana I would keep purely for the fact that on his day... ...but we didn't spend money for 'on his day'. Sorry, but we didn't.
That bloke who gets all his knowledge from footie manager would probably do a better job spending our transfer budget than the shambles that is the committee have managed so far. Sad but true lol
I wasn't aiming it at anyone tbh, and I included myself in it. However, if Jimmy take offence then I'll gladly take the credit
When has he ever had 'his day'? We can all say on 'on his day he's good', but if a player never has his day he's just not very good. I'd sell Lallana cause I can't see him ever doing anything worth while and he's English so we could get some money for him. Out of the current squad; The Players in Green we should keep The Players in Red we should sell The Players in Blue we keep but should look to sell in the future Clyne Milner Coutinho Firmino Gomez Henderson Sturridge Sakho Moreno Can Allen Origi Ings Ibe Flanagan Brannagan Kent Smith Rossiter Teixeria (the one we currently have) Ojo Markovic Allan Grujic Enrique Toure Benteke Lallana Bogdan Skrtel Sinclair (little twat) Yesil Balotelli Wisdom Luis Alberto Lovren Lucas Mignolet Ilori (dependant on how he improves (should he improve)) Stewart Ward Randall
