Everton have handed over all the match worn FA Cup 4th round kits to Carlisle United to help raise money for the flood victims.

Watched the game on motd and thought it was a great occasion. The crowd were up for it and it was good to see and old fashioned ground close to the pitch packed out. Just disappointing it was a bit one sided with the result.
Good gesture from Everton and in keeping with the ethos of the club. A few clubs, especially ours, could learn a few things from the way Everton conduct themselves as a club.

Everton in the Community (EitC) do a lot of good work for disability sport on Merseyside. Far more community minded then their wealthier neighbours.

Not the first time Everton have done this. Was once visting family in Torquay in the 1970's + I noticed Torquay were at home that Saturday so I went along. After the game they auctioned off a set of Everton shirts. Torquay had played them midweek in the League Cup. Did not make a great deal. In fact I could have kitted out my sunday league team for less than a new set of kit.
