Keep an eye on the Pardew free-fall at Palace and Pullis needing his carpet slippers at West Brom..<ok>

Depends which Everton turns up tonight, we might find out if the outlay the Mags have made has been money well spent, if they don't get any type of result tonight then the seeds of doubt will be sown, I know we didn't get the right result last night, but loads of positives can be taken from the match. Got to keep them within two points before the Derby match as if we get a 7 and go above them it could just set off our season big time.

Correct - 2 extremely interesting games await for us - hope we bag 3 pts (sorry) & later don't stop at 6 in a row a row - lol

We want no more positives though - points only now - in lots of 3 preferably

Enjoyable post, a more enjoyable game.

Kirchhoff reminded me of Matic when Chelsea won the title, he was a monster sitting in front of the back 4. Kone v YaYa an obvious highlight, brilliant.

Jones was not good for me and the only disappointment. RB is clearly the weakest spot in the side. N'Doye was awkward and didn't look ready, but I think he'll be fine, hopefully a Kirchoff like blip on the screen for his first outing. He has an important role to play which Defoe can't fill and goals will determine the season's fate in the end.

Last thing, BSA won't be playing Catts, Kirchoff and M'Villa together, so take a seat Lee. No disrespect, but the other two have qualities beyond your own.

    3 points from Liverpool.

It looks probable, doesn't it. Six points from the Mags and Norwich and anything possible tho. Think Liverpool there for the taking also. Three points there and everything looks far brighter.

There you go mate, that's the attitude. It does look like an impossible task but a couple of wins will change everyone's beliefs and give us hope.

The thing is, we always do this. Our best performances are always in a defeat by a top side. Then we are **** when expected to win. And we are not going to "play like that for the rest of the season" are we? We might still survive but it won't be pretty.

I don't see why not, we've got 5 fresh faces in and got rid of a **** load of deadwood and that performance will raise the confidence in the camp no end.

A couple of decent results will instil belief in the squad and then who knows?

We got out of the mire last time in the space of six or seven games, and in very few more the season before. Now, we've got fourteen to play and I think a much better team to do it with. We're relying on other teams results though, and that's the main worry.

3 from 4 now I reckon (Villa about down) , Norwich are in free fall the mags not much better and we have to play both of them. Soton, Stoke, Palace, Everton, Watford will be safe by the time we play them all. Really looking forward to the Man u game now, as this team is the best we have had in 10 years in the premier league !, and not the needed 38 points first thought maybe 33 ?.
