3-0 defeat for the Toon, a man sent off and they have a GD of -19 against our -9

So apart from that last minute WBA equaliser all the scores (Bournemouth) aside went our way.:emoticon-0148-yes:

But the real scary bit for Newcastle fans is below. If they go down the only money they will be spending is on McClaren's redundancy payment!

I dunno, would have been nice to see Shelvey on the scoresheet....

Newcastle's Jonjo Shelvey headed against his own bar.

Newcastle look as good as down under Mclaren. As long as they don't sack him we'll be fine. Norwich to go with them and I reckon Sunderland will escape again.

We'll beat Palace Saturday. Should have beaten them away too but we were just as awful as they were then and that was the game where I knew Shelvey would have to go. Paloschi to score first in a 2 1 win. Paloschi will go on a run then. Great stuff.

By all accounts he's doing a great job up north...................I still can't work out whether the £12 million was paid by Newcastle to us, or by us to Newcastle <laugh>

The frustrating thing about his exit was the amount of pundits saying that Swansea didn't know what they were doing getting rid of an England quality player like Shelvey and that he's moved on to better things. Even this afternoon on sky they were saying he's a difference maker and could keep them up.
Frustrating because they're making judgements without seeing him play regularly. Played like a couldn't give a ****. Durham and Gough on Talksport sounded genuinely flabbergasted that we would want to sell a player that plays for England.

The bottom is much to close to be cocky and assume we are safe. We are still one of the serious contenders what ever anyone thinks and by last nights display then it can go down to the last few games where i don't fancy our chances against any of them, We have a hell of a lot of work to do between now and then.

How often have they been down the Liberty to see Shelvey play? They get paid thousands to spout crap. I'd do it for half their wages <laugh>

Exactly mate. Wound me up enough that I wanted to phone in but thought I may lose my cool with Durham Jamie Carragher style.

It also looks like Newcastle haveñt got any relegation clauses in their contracts. So if they do go down expect that Sports Direct sale to keep on going!

I don't think Hartlepool were going to offer JJ £50k a week Dai but they might have let him run for mayor following the monkey.
