"Good result, and it's got me looking at the fixtures on BBC. Not sure if it's been said elsewhere, but Fiorentina away on Thursday night and then Palace on Saturday 3pm is a bit of an ask." If I was Pochettino, I would be telling the squad that from now to til the end, expect to be playing 7 games per month. Similarly, he needs to get his rotation/sub strategy sorted out to endure that schedule.
OK PNP, I didn't know that - I hope it does go to the Sunday. I agree with Huddlefro about Europa first leg. Wouldn't normally want a weakened team, but in these circumstances something has to give.
It's incredible that he can actually come up with that result and does he honestly believe it? His league table of what the teams would look like if his predictions came true is a complete joke and yet the BBC still pay the tw*t
I like how he reckoned Vertonghen getting injured was going to ruin everything for us and yet, despite Liverpool's large injury list recently, he still hasn't predicted them to lose a game yet. The man is a complete berk.
He has even predicted Palace for the cup after they got drawn to us ****er. Anyhows, Leicester got City and Goons next. If we play our cards right we could be cutting them 5 points down, with plenty games to go. We need momentum and for me the biggest thing is belief. It's belief that will be our downfall. We have a good team, a proper team....we need to be arrogant with our belief. Not cocky, arrogant, a refusal to lose and we can do this. That is 5 out of 5 for us now. COYS! P.s it's still hilarious on Talksport the goons are melting.
"We need momentum and for me the biggest thing is belief. It's belief that will be our downfall. We have a good team, a proper team....we need to be arrogant with our belief. Not cocky, arrogant, a refusal to lose and we can do this." The Citeh game, as it was in 2012, will be the statement of intent, whatever the actual end result.
Our away record this year: P12 W6 D5 L1 For 22 Against10 Staggeringly good and exceptionally unspursy.
"Our away record this year: P12 W6 D5 L1 For 22 Against10 Staggeringly good and exceptionally unspursy." The GD is new, but Spurs winning at least half of their PL away games is not. Not losing away since the opening game is just epic.
Crash Davis: You be cocky and arrogant, even when you're getting beat. That's the secret. You gotta play this game with fear and arrogance. Ebby Calvin LaLoosh: Right. Fear and ignorance. Crash Davis: [exasperated] No. You hayseed. It's arrogance not 'ignorance.' Great movie.
We got a testing April with Pool,Utd, Chelsea and Stoke. We need to be right up there come these games and if we are I think we can go unbeaten in them. I don't think I'm being biased but I think our little stutters have been educational and now we come across like we don't think we can lose. Poch seems like a guy who is willing to learn from blips. I tell you what...**** Leicester and the love in....I want us to win this and if we finish second I'll be bloody devastated.
"We got a testing April with Pool,Utd, Chelsea and Stoke." Light years away. I want to see how THIS MONTH is dealt with first (Citeh, is the Europa going to have to be ditched etc) .
Having criticized our team for lacking belief, I have to give them credit for the last few games. They took the chance to get fourth, then went on a winning streak to extend the gap above fifth. It’s been winnable games, but winning those winnable games is what wins things. I had a gander at the betting odds for the Norwich game: LIkeliest result: 1:1. Norwich chance of winning: 25%. Spurs 44%. Now I think those odds are too favorable to Norwich. But the truth remains that a top team doesn’t have that much more than an even chance to beat a weaker team. The end of the season is a long way away, and plenty of things can happen in the burnout, injury, loss of form line. But there’s no doubt Pochettino has done a masterful job so far, and that top, improving young players fighting for minutes helps a lot in every way, especially in avoiding burnout.
Any thoughts about Leicester being deserving underdogs and good luck to them, etc went out of the window after I watched the three games against Spurs. The Tinkerman is doing what he knows best and doing it well but I don't want to watch it. We had this kind of thing in the past The Republic under Jack Charlton reminds me that it might be fun to watch the continental sides trying to cope with them (Leicester) but apart from that: It's not funny and it's not clever!
While you lot were enjoying a great win tonight I have been at my 3 hr long college Maths course (after a days work) doing Algebra and Quadratic Equations etc. So I though I'd share one of my questions to see if any of you simpletons can solve it quicker than me... If team A have a 7 point plus a 3 place lead over team T but lose that points and place lead in just 3 matches of 90 mins each plus added on time exactly how **** are Arsenal?
