Said this for the past few months but I and others were called "whingers" for stating how poor we've been playing. This is the usual prelude to our own concerto collapse every February/March. But hey, it'll be more of the same next season with Wenger in charge.

Great work by Campbell, Giroud (or whoever it was) took too long to sort their feet out in the box and they cleared the ball. Absolute joke.

What a rubbish half of football....again.....If anyone thinks we will simply limp our way to the title playing like this all the way into May, then I must say that is one severe cause of delusions, we will not win anything playing like the way we have for the last 2 months.

It is actually embarrassing watching how average we are. The same pattern every game with no variation at all. With all due respect to Southampton, although they've been well-organised and look quite threatening on the counter, they've not played amazingly well. We've had the better chances and have not taken them and we're taking too many touches on the ball in their box. We need to shoot more and play the ball faster.

A draw is no good for us, need to step it up in the second half.

Coquelin has to come on for Flamini.

We'll be title challengers and play better when our main players Ozil and Sanchez come back from injury though and play together again, thank the Lord.

It's a bit concerning that City and Spurs are finding form when it matters and we appear languid and out of ideas.
It's difficult to see where a goal is gonna come from.

A win while we keep playing like this is also no good for us, you can only limp for so long before everything collapses and we're back in a fight for just 4th place. Unless we actually start playing good football, which we seem to have forgotten, we can forget the league, we've already failed to win our last 3 games because of our averageness, and since Christmas we have only gotten 8 out of 18 points, and all of this says it all really, playing average= falling behind, as much as the positive brigade will like to think otherwise and we're managing to get results while playing ugly.

Would not be surprised at all if we lose this game, though the way it's going I see a draw, Southampton to score, and us somehow getting an equaliser, and then some going on about how we showed character and strength, and on another day we would have lost and a point is good in the circumstances.

As much as people enjoy taking the piss out of them, they're not a joke any longer. Tottenham look a far better team than us and it's starting to show in their results.

Don't forget the 'facts' though. We're only 3 points off the top...

Frustrating half. We were slow coming out of defence and didn't defend as a unit, allowing Soton to get in behind when we should have been pushing up and catching them offside. Again too slow in midfield with Flamini and Ramsey not making any inroads. By the time we have got the ball to Ozil, Sanchez and Giroud, Soton have regrouped and we're up against a wall.

That said, Ozil was unlucky not to score and Sanchez and Giroud have looked good when they've got the ball. We need to be much quicker through the midfield in the second half and the back four need to keep their shape and push up as a unit.

I can put up with one more season like this with Wenger in charge if needs be.

But an additional two years on top? Good lord, that's a terrible prospect...

Dier and Alli show how if you're good enough then you're good enough. How long do we have to wait for our players with 'potential' to show they're good enough?

Why are people spending so much time attacking other fans on a match thread?

Although I'd put 'Arry's team above this current batch, they are definitely showing their credentials at the right time of the season.

I genuinely believe they'll finish above us this season and not just because of how good they're playing but also due to how incredibly terrible we are playing. Completely different team from October/November.

No more excuses. Players have come back from injury, we have a strong XI but look at our performances of late.

There's one common denominator but so many "fans" want to ignore the elephant in the room.

Unsuoprisingly I disagree, We haven't actually been that bad at all.

Southampton have well and truly parked the bus.
