I want to see us score early for a change and get that 2nd goal so we can have something to shout about and hang on too. My arse cant take anymore 0-0's for most of the game only for them to score in the last 10 minutes and us having the better chances but fail to score.....I am looking for more forward play by us and converting our possession into goals........This is my wish for the remainder of the season....
Well spoken Glam, it's as if at half time they take Prozac in the dressing room...... On another note, I'm feeling very positive about this game with at last a tidy Striker to pair with Ayew, we should see some new dynamics this game, and expect our defence to grow stronger under Franco, by the way I was over Langland beach yesterday afternoon, it was a bit of an Italian Job, with afternoon Cappuccino at the Italian Brasserie, The first omen of the afternoon was to bump into an old Italian friend (Plenty of Simpatico) , then 10 minutes later Franco comes round the corner with his partner, took in the view from the Balcony right in front of our table and then turned and said hello, now I'm the type when I bump into the rich and famous to just play it cool and leave them alone, but this was an opportunity not to go begging, so I gave Franco a hearty Welsh smile and welcomed him to Wales, he was very polite and humble in his conversation, and had the steely look of a man on a mission, though he was so enthusiastic in his demeanour, and as he went to his table, I thought wow, he's really up for making his mark in the Premier League.......... PS: Sorry lads but I cannot go into the subject of tactics............
The question we all want to know is Phil, did you ask him why we haven't sold that donkey up front yet?
------------------ Fabianski ------------------ ----------- Fernandez --- Ash -------------- Rangel ------------------------------- Taylor -------------------- Leon ---------------------- ------- Cork ------------------ Ki ------------- -------------------- Siggy --------------------- ---- Ayew ------------------- Routledge --- Bench; Nordfeldt, Naughton, Amat, Fulton, Montero, Barrow and Paloschi.
Starting to think you may be on to something with this line up sugarman , maybe not for this game but settling into something like this along the way .Routledge instead of Taylor for me though
I thought that we would need some defensive cover in front of the back three and can see Leon on the right and Taylor on the left Leon's still good passing freeing Barrow on the right and Taylor to play wing back on the left and Ki to support the attack in midfield which I think is making best use of him and at which he seems more enthusiastic
The strength of Williams on that side with Britton in reserve does it for me , so a regular winger for me . The best thing about this idea for me is Ayew and Paloschi up front . Ayew is not our kinda winger and he's not a proper striker .playing him beside Paloschi lets him free reign more , which is what he does best , leaving the striker responabilities to Paloschi . Now we can put pacey wingers on that are more in line to our normal game .I think it's brilliant . Daimungeezers post# 28 and Terror # 47 are I great variant to same idea in a 4-4-2
Swansea City are on the up under Francesco Guidolin, reckons Federico Fernandez By South Wales Evening Post | Posted: February 01, 2016 By Gareth Vincent please log in to view this image FEDERICO Fernandez reckons Swansea City are "getting better every day" under the guidance of new head coach Francesco Guidolin. Fernandez played against Guidolin's Udinese side during his time as a Napoli player. And Swansea's Argentina centre-back reckons the Liberty club will thrive with the Italian in charge. "When I played for Napoli against Udinese, they always played good, aggressive football," said Fernandez. please log in to view this image "When you have the ball the preference is to play and attack. Everyone saw that at Udinese under Francesco, and they were a great team to watch. "He works every day to change something, whether it is formations, set-pieces or strategy. please log in to view this image "We have a lot to learn from him because he has so much experience and knowledge, and we are getting better every day." Fernandez has revealed Guidolin's plan for tonight's trip to West Brom. "It is always a very difficult game when you are away, particularly against West Brom who have big, strong players and are good at set-pieces," he added. "But for us, the message is to play a good, aggressive tempo when we have the ball and defend as one when we aren't in possession."
I only posted what I thought we would/should play tomorrow away at West Brom. I'm all for 3 at the back. Hopefully we can adapt to 3-5-2 quickly but if he decides not to risk changing the formation right now I will look forward to the summer where I'm sure we can get to grips with it. I'd play 2 holding midfielders in front of the back 3.....something like this; --------------------------- Fabianski ---------------------------- --------- Fernandez ----- Amat ------ Ash ------------------ ------------------ Cork ------------ Leon ----------------------- Barrow/Routs --------- Siggy/Ki --------- Montero/Routs ----------------- Ayew ------------- Paloschi ------------------ Subs: Nordfeldt, Bartley, Taylor, Naughton, Ki, Montero/Barrow/Routs and Gomis Excited to watch how Guidolin will go about it, feels great to finally have a coach you can put some trust in. He has been there, seen it, done it.
I'm all in for that , playing two strikers with Ayew as one of them solves a lot of my "Ayew " problems within my thoughts , same as Williams playing on the outside in the 3 man defence , thought Amat was to slow to play the left . I hope we dabble in this sooner than later , there's a "Swansea Way " within this tactic imo
I am much more happy with all the sound bites coming from the club even though that's the norm whoever takes over. I have always been happy with the squad who takes to the pitch except up front and with a bit of luck Mr G will fix that because pound for pound we have better players than most bottom half teams. I firmly believe that. I hope we win tomorrow but i wont be down hearted if we lose as long as the performance looks like Mr G is on the right track as he may need a little time and he deserves that...
Well that's it If we cant stay up now then we don't deserve too. Lets get started and aim for 10th place and should we reach that it will be a half decent season. Someone from the bottom always go on a good run so i hope it's us. Come on Mr G show what you can do even though you are the spit of Howard out of the last of the summer wine....
