Thats a load of nothing really. If Pulls thinks they have a better chance selling the player and buying others where they are needed then where's the news in that? The other stuff is nonsense. The chairman would have to sanction any transfers so just don't sanction those where Pulis' agent is involved. Bit of a non-story, in a day of non-stories if you ask me.

 

Some very heavyweight allegations concerning Pulis though. Does the fact that the "Secret" footballer remains notionally anonymous coupled with his failure to actually name Pulis or Peace or Berahino preclude him from libel?

 

Certainly him being 'anonymous' wouldn't. I think the rest depends on whether or not it could be about anyone else.

 

Why haven't we overpaid for someone in a last minute panic? Grumble grumble, lack of ambition, Ron out etc.

I love Sky's attempts to make January deadline day exciting - you can feel the presenters shiny teeth & fake tans cracking under the weight of nothing much happening.

Would certainly be the best thing for OX, but we don't really need him. He made his bed and has taken the same path of progression as Theo Walcott. Neither have become the players they were destined to be yet.

 

He's still very young though, only 22. Would be tempted to make an audacious bid for him in the summer. He's just the sort of pacey and direct winger that we don't have. Also very versatile player, can play anywhere across the center of the field.

 

Totally agree.....when he has got game time he looks crap, maybe young but he's digressed....Chambers going down same path.

 

There has been injury issues, but that seems to be the way of the majority of Arsenal players. I very much doubt Arsenal would sell, but if we sold Mane then he would be a very good replacement if we wanted to blow the whole budget on one player

The Ox would be very good in the Davis role, IMO, although I don't think he's as defensively minded. But going forward......

 

Youngster (and parents!) should look at Chambers and Ox before choosing lucrative contracts over playing time. Wenger built himself a reputation for bringing on youngsters but in all honesty, the reality looks very different to me.

Meanwhile in other news it looks like Saints summer target Imbula is on his way from Porto to Stoke. He's going for a lot more than we would have paid though. £18.5m??? Who says January is about panic buys!

However, the BBC are peddling myths again. Apparently I'm a season ticket holder at Saints! News to me.
