Mourinho for me like. He has a massive point to prove and would jump at the chance. Benitez with his Liverpool links would be a non starter!

SSN saying Fletcher is gone, he's 'reluctantly being allowed to speak to Marseille'. <ok>

For sure, I'd cut my own head off mate, like I said, that fat div isn't allowed near this club.

Mourinho is a world class manager but comes with a circus act... we have a brand, the biggest brand in sports, to look after, it could be a masterstroke or a disastrous appointment.

Get your money on Giggs if you're betting.

The job is way to big for the inexperienced Giggs imo. Yeah he will be picking things up as a number 2 but he won't be picking much up from LVG.
Maybe a couple of seasons with Mourinho then he might be ready..

He's said he doesn't want to be a manager.

He's spent 20 years under Fergie, plus Fergie will still be there to mentor him and I'd know Giggs would use him... Moyes and LVG were/are too stubborn/proud to go to Fergie.

I can't see Fergie sanctioning Mourinho, he just comes with too much baggage, we're a multi-billion pound corporation and you don't ever appoint an ego to be the face of your company.

    From Villa -

The situation of the team at the bottom of the table was not something easy to deal with for new players but it’s not the only reason. It was also a financial problem but it’s not my job to explain that again. Probably the club realise mistakes have been made in the past and they didn’t want to do it again.

Learning from mistakes? Maybe we should try that. <doh>

What do you think of Simeone? For me he's the most exciting of the young managers out there, he's got that fire in the belly and grim determination to win. If you're talking about brand management perhaps he's a bit too mad?

I like him, but he'd have to publicly apologise to Becks before we accepted him (jokes). I just don't think he'll move to England.

Whoever we want, we'll get. It's the biggest job in football and it's more than just a bloke to rally the players and make subs during a game.

LVG still has another year yet, he could stay!

I always thought the biggest job in football was whoever is in charge of Chamakh's many combovers.

I'd love to see Simeone managing in the PL. Is it okay to forgive the bastard, sorry, I mean guy, now, for what he did to Becks?
