Yes. There's a dilemma though. IF there's a realistic likelihood of getting Pep in the summer then it becomes tricky.... do we stick or twist?? The advantage of Pep is two-fold. First you have a bloody good manager and second, you take him away from one of your competitors. Having said that, Jose may be the better option anyway.
If we seriously care about challenging for the league, I think Jose has far greater experience than Pep. There is no doubt Pep is a great manager, but there is also no denying that he has yet to be fully tested. Barca had the best players of a generation and their continued success long after his departure only reinforces that fact. As for his work in Bayern, they've built their success by decapitating their competition through player tapping. It's become very much like Scottish league. In short, Jose has been through the storm and back throughout his career. He would be more suited to us at this point in time than Pep.
I agree. My vote goes to Jose too. He has experience in handling a team for years, better than Giggs. Being sacked by Chelsea does not mean he is not good enough. It might be a better solution (though not best) we are looking for and he expressed strongly that he likes to be in that position. Anyway, is this true? http://metro.co.uk/2016/01/27/rumou...deal-to-be-manchester-united-manager-5646548/
Apparently "the details are sketchy" so I'm not convinced it's a done deal. No doubt some consider it fakht though.
Heresy! You mean the Metro doesn't always print the facts? My world is shaken to its very core... P.S. I do love the fact they've linked the Mourinho story to this one: http://metro.co.uk/2016/01/26/rumou...-bravo-with-him-to-manchester-united-5645295/
We all knew Pep was headed for City. Can't wait to see how he fares in England. Hoping he ****s up royally...... This makes Jose to United more likely in my opinion, because I believe the only reason United held off on appointing Jose was because they were waiting to see what the situation was vis a vis Guardiola. Also means Chelsea are likely to try pry Simeone away from Atletico
Next season, if City have Pep, United have Jose and Chelsea have Simeone Thats basically the Big 3 from Barca, Real and Atletico all just moving to England to continue their rivalry.
Sky sports says ££££ to get Pep, thank god we are not getting him http://www.skysports.com/manchester-city
