At the moment I think Sam has done well to repair the damage of the current squad this window. Time will tell of course but if we can scrape safety I'd love to see if he can complete the clear out in the summer
Really? I can't see 2 or 3. We have to keep within a wage limit. Have we released enough players and freed up enough wages to get 2 or 3 in? I'd prefer quality over quantity so another full back may be as much as we can do. No idea, just speculating. Matthews coming back might be like a new signing as well.
Let's hope this lad can have the same impact as Mahrez at Leicester, certainly looks the part hope he can deliver, exciting times ahead me thinks.
Having seen many false dawns with exciting players Altidore Lens Giaccarini Soc fella The Argentinian that maybe our player may belong to inter. I can't even remember their names they were such flops some of them. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I'm pleased Allerdyce is in charge of transfers as no one else can be blamed. Difficult to get them in with our position. I still think 2 more to come and it's a battle to survive so we do need this lad to hit the ground running. 3 tough fixtures to start. At least big Sam seems to be able to ship out the dross. I will celebrate heavily when we manage to offload Fletcher!
That there is indeed the roller-coaster of emotions this club makes us fans feel! Can see the cup final there, along with losing to Everton, and a few derby wins, along with Southampton under Poyet... It's also the Sin wave, signifying the arrival of hopefully an exciting player!
Am I alone in thinking that our season starts here based on the lack of excitement I felt after the summer one. Not apportioning any particular blame over the summer signings but Sam just seems to have added players who appear to better balance the team. I have never been one for formations as I like flexibility and players who can get stuck in where they are needed and looking at the newbies there is an element of mix and match who can adjust as the game progresses. He has done it at previous clubs whose first philosophy was not to lose and wear the opposition down. Not pretty but effective.
