After watching our U.S. tour and talking to some American friends,I wondered what were
your views on the level of U.S.football .Would it be worth taking a chance on some of the younger American players . E.G.Brek Shea of Dallas (he,s just been picked to play for the MLS Allstars and has already played twice for the U.S. national team)

As he,s only 21 ,would he be worth taking a chance on...............?

I think there are some great players, but there are also ones worse than James Perch playing for the top teams.

Orlando looked good, and will clearly be in the MLS in no time, seems money is doing it for them.

Pardew did say they were using the tour as another scouting mission.

    Hmm Americans, yes.

I find the right to bear arms only slightly more ludirous the the right arm bears.

They produce decent keepers but that's about it. Not many others, Donovan, Dempsey & Holden. Ooh and the great talent that was Freddie Adu <ok>

In my opinion, from watchin several games whilst i was over there it seems to be about a championship standard of football (no offence if this comment is seen to degrade either the MLS or the championship XD)

I watched the Man Utd vs Chicago Fire game before the Newcastle match and although defensively Chicago were woeful they had some very good attacking players. I was very impressed with them, but I wouldn't be able to name players.

He's showing some skill these days, but I watched him live once last season and nobody pissed me off more than him...mind you, I was supporting the home club, so the fact he was pissing off the opposing fans might be a compliment? I just hated his attitude and willingness to throw himself on the deck and roll around for fouls...more than once was "Dig a hole and bury him!" sung in his direction

This season he seems to be much better though, he's more likely to stay up and try to finish his runs from what i've seen, which has resulted in some pretty decent solo goals.

i'd love Brek Shea here, also Ugo Ihemelu (CB for Dallas) would be pretty decent, he's fairly fast so could be good cover for Colo (as a CB who doesn't just clear it)
