Appears we don't get team news as Poch has cancelled the news conference due to illness. Surely someone on the staff could provide an update on injuries etc?

There'll probably be an announcement on the OS or Twitter within the next 24 hours mate.

I wouldn't think much has changed apart from Jan's injury, although Mason was in Barcelona with the lads so maybe he's in with a shout? Would be great if so.

Interesting. I hadn't realised he'd played for us.

Just hope we keep hold of all them.

Previous experience is a few good seasons a Spurs and then a move to Madrid or Manchester.

Kane, Alli, Lloris could all walk into pretty much every team in the PL atm and I'll be majorly surprised if bids don't come in for them in the summer.

I genuinely believe Kane will be here for a while, I'd love to think one club man but I'm pretty confident we can keep him for at least another 5 or 6 years providing nothing drastic happens to the club.

We're in somewhat of a lucky position with Hugo because a lot of the bigger clubs out there already have an established first choice keeper - plus Madrid can't sign anyone now for two windows though will probably the most interested as I don't think the Madrid board see Navas as a big enough name, despite being a great keeper. Utd have De Gea, City have Hart, Barca have Bravo & ter Stegen, Bayern have Neuer, Juve have Buffon for another year or two and I think Hugo mentioned he has no plans to return to France any time soon so it rules PSG out.

As for Dele, I think he'll be here for at least a few more seasons, he's only 19 and I think he knows we're the perfect club for him both short and long term. No doubt City and Utd will circle in a year or two though.

A brief injury update from Maurico Pochettino ahead of Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie...
The game comes too soon for midfielders Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard but both "are close to training with the team again". England international Mason could return as soon as Monday.

First up, the Argentine has reacted to the news Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele has signed a new deal. "I am very happy that he's staying with us. He's improved a lot his quality and his mentality."
And then he addressed selling England winger Andros Townsend to Newcastle for a reported £12m. "It was important for him to play Premier League football consistently, unfortunately that wasn't possible here. We wish him all the best."
Mauricio Pochettino has been batting away rumours thrown at him during the news conference.
On being linked with the Chelsea job, he said: "I don't mind, the media is about rumours, I don't care about that. I'm very happy here, in 18 months here we have a very good group, we've set a good base for success for the future. I'm only focused on my job."
The Tottenham boss refused to be drawn on the club being linked with moves for West Brom's Saido Berahino and Moussa Dembele of Fulham.
Mauricio Pochettino has hinted he may rotate his squad for the trip to Colchester.
"We have 23/24 players, we're sure they can all perform as well.
"It's a good test for us. we need to show big motivation, be focused on our game, be consistent, it's important to go to the next round. it's one of the objectives this season to go far in the FA Cup."

Really want to see Onomah and Winks start this one, it's a great opportunity for us to put them in for a full 90 and see what they can do.

The two teams have never met in a competition before so there's no precedent. Colchester will be full of running but I can't see Spurs losing this one but no score comes to mind.

Would've gone with Son starting over Kane, and it feels like a missed chance to have Winks or CCV on the bench.

I’m a little surprised Kane and Erikson are starting. Erikson has been a surprise in a good way the last couple of weeks. He’s gone from tired looking to something close to his best. I wonder if he had a talk with Pochettino and the result was that he practices less, or less intensely, so that he can play more, and be fresher when he plays. I can see not starting Son, though, as this would be a bunch of starts in a short time after coming off an injury. It’s good Alderweireld, Son and Alli are getting rests, but I wonder when Dier is ever going to get one.

Dier will be fine as long as he has his kryptonite. <ok>
