West Brom vs Swansea City The Hawthorns 2 February 2016 20:00 Following their first ever League victory over Everton, at the 22nd time of asking, the Swans travel to the Midlands to face a a West Brom side that lies 3 points above them in the table. Victory for the Swans would take them above Albion, albeit on goal difference, and would mean that Guidolin's side would have recorded 3 consecutive victories for the first time this season - and would make it 13 out of a possible 21 points from the last 7 PL matches. However, I'm going for a 1-1 draw - but hoping for that 3rd consecutive win!
A loss would undo our last two games, so a draw for me as well. A good point at a high altitude ground = a good result.
I hope we will leave with a spring in our step - boing boing! I wonder what sort of side Albion will put out for their cup game?
No matter how any of the other games go , we win this , which I think we will , we go 14th . 3-1 Swans .First game after the window shuts , wonder if we see anyone new ?
I've got a feeling this is going to be a tight one. With the impetus behind the Swans I'm going for a 2-1 away win
Head says Pulis will have them shut us and the game down and we'll concede at a set piece 1- Nil Albion. Head also says we should anticipate this and concentrate on defending set pieces in training this week....how about a man on each post for every free-kick and corner? Heart says, what the **** have we to be wary of? We've consistently been much the better team and got wins against them since we've been in the Prem...they're on a downer, we've got our mojo back. C'mon!!! Heart wins this one. Swans 2-nil.
Agree with a lot of the above West Brom are not a team we should be fearing and I hope we will leap frog them in the table. It'll be tight but we have the momentum and I also think we'll get a shutout, 1 or 2 to nil. COYS Fernandez to score the winner with a punt over the keeper from the half way line.... sorry, just kidding, it'll be a 40 yard screamer
I think you're mixing us up with carduff http://www.squawka.com/news/tan-dem...oot-from-halfway-line-gabbidon-reveals/582874
I think we will go on a bit of a roll with our new found confidence , new found manager and hopefully new found striker and our old dog Curtis helping where he can .I think Guido will get a bit of confidence having Curtis near .
Tough game like they all are to be fair and it will depend who turns up on the day. We are and always have been capable of beating anyone but we must have a striker who is capable of scoring goals and that is our problem we have had all season. We would be comfortably in the top 6-8 if our strike force had put away just half of the chances they have had this season......WBA are no mugs and will have targeted this game for 3 points but so did Everton and we got a result there and as long as we play to our potential and we keep improving in front of goal and take our chances then we can win as we i believe have a better squad of players....1-0
Lots of optimism.....2-0 and 3-0 predictions seem optimistic to me.....we havent won a game all season by two clear goals!! Hoping to nick a 1-0 we dont do it the easy way!
I'm not sure that we actually create that many chances for our strikers. When Ayew scores he usually fashions it himself out of nothing, and the days when Montero crossed the ball onto his head seem a thing of the past. That said, we're playing well with a new confidence and the Baggies are not a great side - certainly not as good as Everton - so we've nothing to fear IF we turn up and play to our potential. 0-2, with Ayew playing a big part again.
Exactly Matt Good to see Guido setting out to get a good relationship with the press. Looks to me to be a personable guy who can, if needed, have a 'strong word or two' which is no bad thing
