Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes gives insight into Ben Gladwin's and Michael Doughty's futures at Loftus Road John Verrall @JohnVerrall Ben Gladwin and Michael Doughty are both currently out on loan from Queens Park Rangers. Embed from Getty Images Tony Fernandes insists that both Michael Doughty and Ben Gladwin have long term futures at Queens Park Rangers. Doughty and Gladwin have recently been sent out on loan, to Swindon Town and Bristol City respectively, with QPR deeming them to be surplus to requirements. However, Fernandes insists that the young pair are highly rated by staff at Loftus Road, and that they will come back into first team contention next season. "> Tony FernandesVerified account @tonyfernandes Jan 24 @maljacqpr @mdoughty92 @bengladwin8 manager doesn't think they will get regular games and wants them to play every week for next season Gladwin only joined QPR from Swindon Town during the summer transfer window, but he has struggled to make much of an impression at the London club. The attacking midfielder shone throughout pre season, but he has found his chances more limited as time has progressed. Gladwin has already been sent out on loan to Swindon earlier in the campaign, and he has failed to force his way into Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s line up. Doughty, meanwhile, has played eight times for QPR this term, but he has only featured once since Hasselbaink took charge. The 23-year-old made his debut for Swindon against Sheffield United at the weekend.
No, they are getting themselves ready for our promotion campaign next season by playing for Bristol City and Swindon.
He is getting everyone playing as much as possible...for next year. I hope everyone has been told...get yourself fit and playing well. And over the summer, next years squad will be built, from them all The driftwood will be gone A new team will be built from what we mainly have already. I am very optimistic Smithies/Ingram Cole/Furlong/Robinson Hall/Ned (Angella) Luongo/Gladwin/Ale/Doughty/Comley BFG/Conor/Greco-Cox/Chery
I wouldn't be confident if that was our squad next season. We need a better right back, another centre back, 2 wingers and another forward. Don't kid ourselves, Furlong, Cole, Comley, Doughty and Grego-Cox will all be nothing more than bench warmers next season at a push, especially if we are wanting to push for promotion.
I wouldn't worry about promotion, a young side playing attractive football is all i ask for, iv'e had enough of the premier league and all the bullshite that goes with it, much more fun in the championship.
- Until next week strategic board level pow wow and their rolled out as the new club mascots. Youth Youth Youth !!! Shut up Fernandes you great twat.
