I wouldnt get your hopes up lads if another club offers fourpence more than us we walk away, thats how weve missed so many "targets" this summer.

When he played for Doncaster a couple of seasons back, I thought he looked the business. Neither here nor there for Cardiff, but I wouldn't turn him down at £1 million, as I think he's a good prospect and the versatility he offers would be a bonus to any side.

Asked a couple of my mates from London who are Arsenal fans what they thought and they both rate him more than the stuff we've been hearing on these boards:

He's got the talent (witness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZixaQA5CGw), but not sure he's got the right attitude. Not sure the Cardiff fans thought much of him.

Permanent deal? He's good for the championship level, I think if he got a few breaks, he could potentially be up to Jay Bothroyd level, "IF" he got a few breaks and did well, but not really up to Premiership level. I'd take him on as a loan player though. If you got promoted, I wouldn't imagine he'd stay though. I remember seeing him in loads of reserve games, and every week he was in a different position, and he seemed really good in each of them, so having him may mean you don't have to have loads of reserve players, as he can fill in lots of places.

    Cardiff fan,

I thought he looked good when he came here but can lose the ball a lot when in good positions.

Still coming from Arsenal he must have promise so some work with him could well pay off for you. As you can appreciate we did not have time to work with him we needed results and looking good is no good unless it pays off.

God knows what we will have we signed 8 players so far with more to come.

as discussed above - coming from a big club doesn't guarantee promise - with the young players it can simply mean they aren't good enough to cut the mustard. Wenger wouldn't be letting someone go for a million who might be in the clubs plans in the future.

Maybe we could do a deal a la Bojan with Roma, on a smaller scale. He's yours for say £1m and if we want him back after two years we can pay £4m unless you buy him out for £15m. The figures aren't set in stone or whatever but could be a good deal.

Or we could just sign him for 1m?

Jewell doesn't seem to be a disciplinarian so who knows maybe a different style of management will suit him better...

Hello this is Mick and the Tottenham Hotspur from 606.

I also feel that this player is not good enough due to the lack of pace which is not suited to the premier league.

I feel that Arsenal keep losing pace over the years despite media bullshit

Ricardo, his lack of pace is down to his laziness. When he was with us he would put in about 5 mins work during the game, the rest of the time he would just stand there watching what everybody else was doing. We don't want him back at Donny.

Apparently the 40% sell on clause Arsenal are demanding is putting clubs off.
