Don't worry. There is always one game where you play **** <ok>

We lost 1-0 to Tampa Bay (Not Orlando, we beat them 3-1 :D), but we have come back with 3 wins, including 4-1 today against Bradford. You'll bounce back :)

The US season is in full swing so even though the quality is lower, they're fully sharp. Match fitness has a massive influence on a game, an in-form Blyth Spartans could probably give Newcastle a few problems coming from cold.

At time a lack of pace has been evident at Newcastle.

This held you back post Ashley years with slower, more ineffective players being played like Bowyer, Milner (very overrated for pace) and Carr.

Now, with time in the Ashley years, you have built up a team with pace with players like Enrique, Simpson, Gutierrez and Lovenkrands offering great amount of speed in the squad.

Again this summer players with pace have been added and players without useful pace like Nolan have left.

The toon are on the up IMO.

These friendlies contain reserves (not at their maximum speed) and even normal 1st team players without full match-fitness thus without the devastating pace which will be unleashed come the start of the season

So why did Newcastle decline in terms of the playing staff then?

The problem I highlighted is a similar problem to what Liverpool has faced over the past few years, not being addressed until now due to a lack of investment from the previous owners

There's a big difference between 'licking ashleys arse', and just not blaming him for everything that ever happens
