Chris Baird - didn't he play for us when we were good? Must have been a long time ago.

Article in the Sun today saying that Kit switched on the Christmas lights in Thames Ditton and goes on to say a eye witness said "he was very nervous as he was not used to such large crowds" - Cheeky gits !!

I had a slightly bizarre dream last night. Gary Brazil had come out of retirement and signed for us again. He scored the only goal in his first match back. There was some kind of social/workplace gathering as well and Danny Baker was there, but the return of Gary Brazil was the most notable aspect of the dream. The thing is, as plans go it seems no worse than what the real Fulham leadership are up to right now.

No. For some reason the work/social do was at Danny Baker's house. In retrospect, perhaps the most ridiculous part of the dream was that we kept a clean sheet and it didn't strike me as unusual.

Apologies this was post meant to show a video clip of an 'effortless' penalty by Adel Taraabt while playing for Benfica B today. Unfortunately the link hasn't worked - will try something different later.

I got a surprising email from the club today, addressed to my 9-year old son (a junior member, registered in his own name but under my email address). It was inviting him to open an account with the club's official betting and gaming partner in order to receive £50 free credit for casino play. Not entirely appropriate!

Fit looking at 36 Aaron Hughes played his first full 90 minutes for Melbourne and scored! The game against Sydney ended 2-2 and here's a link to the video highlights with Aaron's goal about 30 seconds in -

Footnote: Not so good news for another ex-Fulham boy at Melbourne, Corey Gameiro who is out with a serious knee injury.

Man City are stalling the career of Pat Roberts according to Sir Trevor Brooking:

“He’s part of a very talented crop of youngsters we have who could win Euro 2020. But he needs to play in order to develop — and that is not happening. He’s only had a few run outs as a sub, one in the league and two in the Capital One Cup. That’s not enough.”

Think quite a few Fulham fans could have told you that in the summer Trevor.

Why any young english player would go to City, having seen what happened with the likes of Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell etc, is beyond me.

I was thinking the same thing, Rosc. I'm not sure Pat Roberts would address the areas we most need strengthening, but it would be good to get him back for a spell.

According to Sky Sports, Celtic are in talks with Man City to take him on loan for the rest of the season. He'll probably do quite well up there if that come off.

It will be interesting to see if he does do well up there. Some of the Scottish teams can be quite physical. In the brief moments I saw him play at Fulham he was easily knocked off the ball - perhaps a toughening up is what they are sending him there for.

I feel a bit sorry for him. He was only signed to make up UK player quotas and bar a friendly or league cup game he is never going to play a game for Man City, at least not for the foreseeable future.

Hope it works out for though.
