    Pathetic cowardly tactics from McClaren.

I understand we had Dummett out but we should have continued with the 4-2-3-1.

I saw some comments from people saying Mitro was ****, but he had little to no service and was often 3 v 1 on his own with no one to support him.

    Ratings -

Elliot - 6 - Good saves to keep us in the first half. Couldn't do much about the goals.

Janmaat - 4 - Decent crossing at times, poor positioning and defending.

Lascelles - 6 - Had a decent game actually. Good goal. Very strong and powerful.

    Colo - 5 - Average.

    Mbemba - 5 - Also average.

Shelvey - 3 - Mostly poor passing. Some decent hold up play at times.

Saivet - 5 - Some decent pressing and composure, but nothing to write home about.l

Sissoko - 2 - ****ing hell. Just get rid. He's not interested, and his passing was woeful.

Wijnaldum - 4 - Anonymous for a lot of the game. Some decent dribbling.

Aarons - 4 - Understandably bad out of position as a LWB. ****ing sake McClaren.

Mitro - 5 - Did the best with what he had. Good battling with defenders. Poor distribution, but I can't be too harsh on him. He was alone a lot of the time.

Perez - 4 - Couldn't effect the game well enough. Some decent runs but poor finishing.

    Gouffran - 2 - Crap.

McClaren - 3 - Poor. This 3 at the back bullshit never works, and it was cowardly to change the formation based on a left back being out. We should have took the ****ing risk!!!

Really think we are pretty much ****ed now, this was a massively key fixture let's not underestimate that not to mention the mighty Watford have done the treble over us.

Where are these players backbone and self respect.

What do we expect when window after window we simply ignore our achillies heal, this is staggeringly neglegent and simply bewildering.

I just can't see us getting the results we need to stay up. How.many false dawns can one side have in a season, I'm sick of feeling that we have turned a corner when it never translates into a run of results. We are a shambles of a club from top to bottom.

Don't get me wrong, used condoms have a higher IQ than Tash so it's not a dig at your club.

If we're an 'average' side (that's beaten you 3 times already this season), why does he think you should beat us?

According to McClaren, our performance was 'terrific.' Is he for ****ing real?

Watford have done really well since coming up, even taking account of an understandable bad run. No reflection on Watford, but I think any Premier League team should be hoping to take points off the promoted teams, due to the head start that they should have in establishing a Premier quality team. We're far from the first to fail to do that against Watford this year and we wont be the last.

Don't get me wrong, I've been quite surprised how easily we've beaten some 'established' PL teams since being promoted (Liverpool <rofl>), but we've had the best team in the Championship for the last few years and were just unlucky not to be promoted sooner.

I genuinely don't get how teams that have spent so much are so **** (ie Man Utd), and I'm starting to think that most just want a 4-5 year huge contract then just give up, seeing as it's likely they're never going to win anything of note in their careers...

I'd find it hard to commit 100% to running around like a twat when it's cold and raining, especially with several £M in the bank...

There is still enough games left to save ourselves, We have plenty of home games against the likes of West Brom, Bournemouth, Swansea, Palace and off course the Mackems. We just need to get a goal scorer in i.e. Remy and we will start picking up the points we need

I didn't mean that as an insult, nor to insinuate that we're better than you. I simply mean that the way Watford looked today, and the way they've played recently, is that of a side is low on confidence and ideas, and doesn't play good football.

If we approached the game in the same fashioned we have the last couple of games, we'd have won.

Football's definitely changing, mate, and it's getting harder and harder to stay afloat as more and more mediocrity creeps in. How the fck Leicester assembled the only hard working professionals in the league is beyond me - who's their chief scout? Swapsies for Carr, please.

Well done today - dangerous without being hugely imposing, calm enough, some good players and getting the best out of some allegedly average players (Cathcart? Crikey O'Reilly!).

It's an excellent guide to shine a light on the truly awful reign of Mike Ashley at Newcastle United.

A promoted team has beaten us home & away and knocked us out of the FA Cup with little trouble.

Not even our relegation taught Mike Ashley anything. That really should have been the wake-up call.

He has no interest in achieving anything with this club other than survival. But he's simply killing this club slowly but surely.

I expect relegation now and perhaps, this time, Mike Ashley may even learn something, just like he didn't last time

The man is a complete moron. 1st 10 mins we did ok then just went downhill as Watford took over. Half asleep at the start of 2nd half and when will he admit that his forwards couldn't hit a cows a.se with a banjo. We are going down unless we get a PROVEN PL striker.

Without offence, Watford are an average side. They have little chance of being in the top-five and they won't end up in the bottom three. Which ought to suggest that they're a mid-table side (the middle twelve from twenty) which makes them pretty much an average side.

We know already what that makes Newcastle. But the point is that sometimes this useless collection of no-hopers should be able, every once in a while, pull their fingers out and beat an average side. If they can turn it on (for the cameras and the prospective new contracts with a better club) for games against Liverpool and Manchester United they should be able to give supposedly average sides a game.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

We have 15 games left and I see the hierarchy panicking with 7 or 8 games to go and relieving him of his post and we'll be lucky to bring in someone of note and with Lee and Graham being two stooges of the highest level who knows who they'd bring in.
