I wont bother going over the defensive issues, but to pull it back with 90 seconds to go and throw it away yet again is bloody sickening. The true feeling of deflation is alive and well here in Thailand.

All the commentators are all happy and what a classic it was. It's only a classic if you were neutral, or it's your team who won. Which most of them were Liverpool fans.

I feel sorry for Naismith and Klose. The former scored on debut and won the penalty (at the 2nd attempt) all in a losing cause and poor old Timm must have been sat there thinking "holy ****, what have I got myself into with this shower of ****"

 

I really hope we are looking at more defenders. Liverpool were bloody awful today and they still beat us and scored 5. We are staring down the barrel.

We just had to keep tight and solid for 5 minutes after going 3-1 up.

As soon as they scored their second it was inevitable they would go on to win with momentum on their side. Especially with our defence putting in a display like that.

 

I wouldn't call that any kind of "Display".

 

We were in the game today unlike against Stoke, Man City or Bournemouth but the defending was so poor. We cannot defend balls into the box and we give no protection for our [woeful] defence and leave our opponents in all the space in the world. I expect we'll get a chance to see Klose against Spurs and maybe now the board might think one central defender wasn't enough.

 

Lost for words. Some positives of course but we can't stay up defending like that. Martin will take lots of criticism and deservedly so, but Pinto, Bassong, Brady Dorrans and Howson all defended poorly. Arguably others too.

I never want to see us play without Tettey again.
