Seems like a stellar signing to me! http://www.umaxit.com/index.php/col...-most-norwich-signing-norwich-will-ever-make?
I missed this earler, Dave. Excellent article and well observed, except IMO Naismith is more likely to play at AM for us, tucked in behind Mbokani or Jerome rather than up front. The essence of his being a 'Norwich type' player is spot on though.
Yesterday evening I had the pleasure - and it really was a pleasure - to speak to this young man and his family for about 20 mins at the hotel where they are staying. I have never met such a down to earth, unassuming footballer as Steven. He quite clearly loved playing football and was just grateful to the game for what it had given him and his family who, obviously, were the mainstay of his life. We never got into a discussion on politics but he is obviously a man of the left who feels he should give something back to help those less fortunate than himself. His wife has already fallen in love with Norfolk - she described it as where she was brought up ( rural Ayrshire ) without the hills. My friend, who introduced us to them, told me that he was so normal and unassuming that few people in the hotel realised who he was. I genuinely believe that we have signed a gem of a player and a gem of a human being.
This is the most refreshing anecdote that I've read in years. Thanks 1950s for putting it so eloquently too, it genuinely warmed the cockles reading that. Cheers & OTBC.
The lad can play a bit too! Can't say fairer than a goal and a penalty on debut even if his defensive colleagues want hanging from the city walls! Great to have such a great guy and bloomin good player here at Norwich Bah!
