Been that way a while. It's one thing getting cut adrift near the start of the season but once New year is out the way getting cut off is devastating. We've made this season so tough for ourselves by under investing in the team. But a win tomorrow would mean 9 points from 12 a good return of points.
Think we're in agreement really. We need to close the gap on the likes of Bournemouth and neither draw or losing helps that cause. A win keeps others looking over their shoulders too, likes of Watford and West Brom. The more teams down the bottom nearer the end of the season the better, needless to say.
Not so sure. There are two teams I see moving steadily out of the mix - Bournemouth and Newcastle. Both have shown drive and determination recently. I think it'll come down to three clubs from four - Villa, Sunderland, Swansea and Norwich. But then every point counts in May, and something today would be nice.
Watford and Bournemouth came to the prem as unknown quantities and have had a good first half to their seasons with a couple of outstanding results. Now that their game plan and players are known to the other teams I think they will both struggle for results along with Norwich who play like strangers sometimes. Sam is reshaping the team, again, but mainly with the core players who have saved us in the past. Of all the teams down there I see us and Newcastle as survivors. But we will both have to battle hard to survive.
Agree with this, I especially see Watford getting drawn into the relegation scrap, their only Saviour could be their strikers.
Mr Allerdeece, he so sexy, but he tell me one night, he think he team not very good. He to tell me, he think american man , he not give big seexy english man many money so make ze job hard.
I'll get down to a bit of analysis when I've got a spare 5 mins, top clubs are dropping points more than ever it seems or it could just be an illusion! If it's true though, bottom clubs could be looking at a higher target for survival this year.
Top clubs are dropping points but we are not getting any that's why Bournemouth beating Chelsea and Man utd in a row norwhich beating Man Utd newcastle beating Liverpool and Spurs away what have we got
You beat Swansea, Newcastle and Villa. Would you take defeats off those teams in exchange for wins vs City, Arsenal and United now? It's more important to win the ones around you mate, including the one today
Palace and Stoke too. We've won 5 games since Sam came in(14 games), the same amount as the Mags and Swansea have won all season. The problem is we haven't drawn a game under Sam(how insane is that?) it's the lack of those draws in addition to the wins which is concerning me. I don't expect us to beat all the top teams. I mean of Sam's 14 games we've won 5 and also lost to Spurs, City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Citih. That leaves 4 games. Everton where we were thrashed. Then West Brom, Southampton and Watford. All lost by the odd goal and all games where at least a point was required. Could have been 3-4 points better off had we been picking up a few draws here and there.
Don't think a draw here is the disaster some are making out. Defeat would've been huge. The performance was very worrying though. Very poor in possession and without any real attacking threat. Catts and Jones gave the ball away so badly. Need a CM like Ki who can calm us down and keep the ball, playing alongside YM and Catts.
