Not looking good if you've got tickets for day four. Excellent start to the weekends sport just hope that city can follow it up by stuffing AFC OAP in a bit.

    SILENCE!

It is too late. I have marked Mr. Gayle's card. There is no going back.

    Typical England selection policy <doh>
With the series already wrapped up and Finn unfortunately injured, what better opportunity to give Mark Footitt a run out to get acclimatised to the test match arena and see what he can do?
But no, we'll be totally predictable and stick with Woakes...
So Footitt gets to do Rashid's job in the West Indies last spring - carry drinks and be all peripheral!
    Pathetic, England.

I'd have liked to see him get a run out - at least he offers the Captain a bit of variety in the attack and I don't think there can be a better opportunity than on a seam friendly tour against a shaky SA batting line up. Hopefully Rashid will come back into the fold as he has had an excellent Big Bash despite being on the wrong end of the semi-final earlier in the week.

Agreed and especially with the series already in the bag. Ideal to bring a 'newbie' in for a taste of the action when there's little or no pressure on him even if it turned out to be a one-off appearance for the lad.

Unfortunately we appear to be on the plane home already - we are getting a bit of a pecking today......
