But no, we'll be totally predictable and stick with Woakes... So Footitt gets to do Rashid's job in the West Indies last spring - carry drinks and be all peripheral! Pathetic, England.
I'd have liked to see him get a run out - at least he offers the Captain a bit of variety in the attack and I don't think there can be a better opportunity than on a seam friendly tour against a shaky SA batting line up. Hopefully Rashid will come back into the fold as he has had an excellent Big Bash despite being on the wrong end of the semi-final earlier in the week.
Agreed and especially with the series already in the bag. Ideal to bring a 'newbie' in for a taste of the action when there's little or no pressure on him even if it turned out to be a one-off appearance for the lad.
