A good article but in my opinion he is only extolling the views we already know and we don't want a Pemberton/Elliot bandwagon running the club for the rest of the season .

I agree. The thing about the Academy is revealing. The youngsters saying we don't get a chance and presumably Cotts saying you ain't good enough. The fact is that being a manager is a balancing act . You cant please all of the people all of the time. It is by nature a precarious occupation but I am confident that he will not be out of work for long. Who will replace that is the interesting question. Cant see Pearson being SLs type. Too volatile.

If Luke is injured for today, I would hope that at least one of the youngsters from the U21 side is on the bench

Enjoyed that read, and it's articles like that to bring some things into context.
Reid, Bryan was both used occasionally by the predecessor's. So technically it's only Burns who Cotts has brought through to the first team.
I also thought and mentioned before that I felt he was getting stubborn and looked like a run in by refusing to fill the bench etc.
I liked Cotts and probably he was the hardest manager I can remember turning against but unless we've got a replacement I fear the board came to the decision like me too late.
However we are where we are so for now I'm am hoping that Wade who's been closely working with the U21's and recently retired knows a few players can bring in some players. We all know what the players here thought of Elliott and we saw when he came onto the pitch as a sub last season the team suddenly lifted. Hopefully he has got some contacts who could be persuaded to join our fight.

Elliot would certainly know what players to bring through into the first team to fill the bench

I always enjoy reading these blogs and this one is no different as it is well written and tells some home truths about our ex-manager. We were warned by some Forest supporters that this was how it would turn out with SC but nonetheless he gave me my greatest ever City moment by seeing my lifetime team play in front of 72,000 at Wembley and win.

My biggest disappointment is that the change wasn't made in early December because now the chance of a new manager arriving in time to put their individual stamp on the club before the transfer window closes is not going to happen. Yet again we fall at the opening hurdles of our challenge and despite exiled robin's praises of our owner, some of which are valid even in my eyes, the blame for these constant messes are all down to Steve Lansdown and my only hope for salvation is that he has seen the errors of his previous decisions and is prepared to rectify the situation this time, but I won't hold my breath for the miracle we so desperately need to come to pass. Our form is not very good in the getting it right department is it?
