A late winner vs Liverpoo and he will soon endear himself to the NCFC fans as he has already done for those of Everton.
The charitable work and stuff he does behind the scenes will very soon get any remaining Norfolk 'doubters' onside <ok>
Thanks for your kind words - you were given a rough ride by a few last time you posted on our forum.
I think all is a little more "sweetness & light" this time around. :)

Apparently Neil just said we are looking at 1 or 2 more on SSN. That would be our highest spending window in ages and definitely the best January we've had probably since we bought hucks

With no E Bennett and both Murphys out on long term loan deals, if Redmond falls out of form / favour, we're a bit thin on right-sided pacemongers <yikes>
I'd be happier if we had somebody earmarked for that scenario, rather then keep pushing Howson or Vadis wide and out of position - just to get/keep them in the side?

Our promotion rivals have massively strengthened in just that position. Frustrating.

Yeah fair point. I wonder if there is still a hope of getting in another striker. If the window slammed (because it's never closed gently) shut tonight I think we would call it a success.

I agree - and the irony of all that is that very few NCFC fans will have seen Timm Klose play, yet as he's a 'proper' CB, we (the royal 'we', of course) all love him to bits already! <laugh> <ok>

I'd certainly agree with the view that it's been a good window so far and could get better! Swapping Grabban for Naismith is brilliant, as is getting in a quality CB coming into the peak of his career at the age of 27. Pinto looks promising and a fit Jarvis could make all the difference for the rst of the season. Well done all concerned!

We've most certainly strengthened with players who can slot into the first team, which is what we were all crying out for. AN and the board have to be congratulated on what we have achieved so far and it will be interesting to see if we succeed in signing any more in the next 2 weeks or so!!!

So far I think the only 2 teams that haven't strengthened are Villa and Sunderland, kinda hope it stays that way. But happy with the business we've done so far, think if we sell Hooper or Lafferty we could see another striker coming in.

The 'slotting in' aspect is hugely important in January transfers. We need them to be competing for places from the off and I think that's what we've got. As Mulder says, "if we sell Hooper or Lafferty we could see another striker coming in". I suspect that's what was wanted with Haller, so let's hope there's a Plan B for that one.

Alright lads, I thought I'd pop over and mention the Naismith signing.

I think it's a great deal for both clubs and the player himself. Nais is a cracking professional and a genuinely nice bloke to boot. He's not your typical modern day millionaire footballer, he's a sensible man who ensures he gives something back to those less fortunate.

As for what you can expect from him, he'll always give you 100%, he'll never be accused of not putting in a shift.
He's not the most technically gifted player you'll ever see, and he's not very quick either, but played in the correct position (centrally just off the striker) he'll both create and score goals. He's got the knack of finding space in the box and being in the right place at the right time. His finishing is usually clinical.

During his time at Goodison he was mostly picked out wide, which isn't his best position and he never nailed down a consistent starting berth. However, I think this move will suit him, as he'll get to start every week, and he'll benefit from that, and so will you.

I hope he marks his debut with a hatrick against the red ****e :).

Good luck for the rest of the season <ok>

Josh has scored for the Dons and the Binners are losing at Pompey - turning out to be a good day this so far.

Okay, now that Naismith has committed to us then he has my full and total support.
We need to get these new signings into the starting line up as early as possible, it looks quite exciting.
Well done Alex Neil and the board. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Great find (from twitter) worth a look. Lafferty tripping AN before Naismith follows up. One big happy family now... I hope <laugh>
