In the club's defence, the player's circumstances were somewhat different than they understood them to be at the time of offering the contract. That being the case I do think that the club's attitude towards the player has been unsympathetic at best to gratuitously mean at worst. No one is coming out of this with any credit whatsoever.
According to an exclusive in Le10Sport, Watford are close to reaching an agreement for French midfielderAbdoulaye Doucouré. The report says Watford are long term admirers of Doucoure, and are close to sealing a deal for €7m. There were rumors of Watford bidding for the 23-year-old last summer, but it didn't work out for them, as Doucoure opted to stay at Rennes. The 23-year-old has also attracted interest from the likes Newcastle United and Leicester City, but it now appears he is on his way to Vicarage Road. Doucoure has made 14 league appearances for Rennes this season, scoring two goals and assisting two. Primarily a central midfielder, Doucoure has also played in the advanced role. The young midfielder is highly rated, and might well turn out to be one of the best signings in the January transfer window.
I think we need a wide player hopeful with pace that can better give service to the forward line . And cover for the front two .Not anther central midfielder
Whereas the positions mentioned are the priority Brian, I do think we need another quality CM. An injury or severe loss of form from Capoue would have a devastating effect on our team.
Yes copoue has been a star for us in many games (not all) but we have four player that can play in the CM . its the same with gomes he had saved us in many games and therefore won us points but his form has dipped a bit , but we have no cover (of any class needed)
Is Arlauskis really that bad? It's tricky to have a really good goalie on the bench, they generally want to play...
As far as I see it Behrami, Watson, and Guedioura are all vying for one spot. They can all play an important role but I don't think there is enough ability for two of them to form a central midfield partnership in the Premier League.

Fair play, I remember reading the match report on here with people complaining about him. He's played since, no? I don't seem to recall him being criticised again?
Not played since..... I would have thought that hew would have had an outing if only to rebuild his confidence.... in the cup for example
