Ha. And you must be here because you can't get a word in on the Everton board?

Reports saying we are looking at signing Bafitembi Gomes from Swansea for 7 million.
Really hope this is not true. Just not good enough and not going to solve the lack of goals issue.
Also seems that DeBuchy is desperate to leave Arsenal, but doesn't fancy Villa.
Jefferson Montero also reputedly available, l like him a lot. Reports suggest circa 10 million, but left sided as is Townsend.
Which one would others prefer. Montero was unplayable not so long ago and is a cheaper option than Townsend.
    Just musing.........

The new plan is to relegate Swansea by buying up all their players

Can't we relegate Chelsea by buying up all their players instead.
    Just love Willian.

I heard a very appealing one - taking Bony from City. He was never a City player, I'd love him here.

Be an excellent signing but he has done alright for them. I don't think they'd be looking to sell. I'd argue you he is a Man City player for the role he is asked - i.e. back up to the main man/different kind of option.

Wonder if it's the same Alex Collier I went to school with... would be 35 now and used to write for the Viz. Decent guy but if he writes for the Mirror that alone means you have to take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Have you put a bet on it? If not you should, like a good £200.00 you will be in for some massive winnings

Aye, it's a fair point, I forget what it's like to have quality in reserve.....

I get the feeling from watching him that he was one of those who thought himself good enough to be the main man there. You're right, he's done well probably in part due to the effort he'll put in trying to cement a place but I just wonder if he might be a touch unsettled? He might not, but for the money being touted around plus the fact City still have FFP to contend with, if I were a senior NUFC official I'd have sounded it out.

Gomis would be a horrible signing. Want nothing to do with him whatsoever.

I cannot see it happening in a million years. If we're going to move away from the blueprint, do it for someone worthwhile.

I still can't work out who is going to come in. The media have been correct so far with Saivet and Shelvey. The arrival of Townsend would make three moves telegraphed easier than a Cheick Tiote pass, so you'd have to imagine that Berahino and Lacazette remain the priority. As I say, for the money I'd prefer Bony (we should never have missed out on him when he moved from Holland, that was a Carr mistake in my book as I believe we didn't feel he was worth the £12m), but I'm not going to complain if either of the other two turn up providing they actually want to be here. My main concern is that both players believe they should be at a top 4 club and will sulk if it's not going to plan at NUFC. Bony would be different in the sense he's been there, worn the t-shirt so if he moved away would be doing it for football reasons.

If we sign Gomis then we are undoing our good work in the transfer windows. He is dogshit.

You heard any other rumblings? All odds are a bit vague, we only really register as 3rd fav's for Berahino, with longer odds on Lacazette and Remy (none at all on Bony). Who else is there? Slim pickings when you're 17th I guess.

Thing is you look around the European leagues and it's kinda funny. In France, Ben Arfa's got 9 and is 5th top, behind players we can't/won't get (Cavani, Ibra, Batshuayi) In Holland, Luuk De Jong is out on his own, followed by Dirk fecking Kuyt! Germany's top scorers are all top class (Aubameyang, Muller, Lewandoski), and those with 6, 7 or 8 for the season are mostly midfielders!

It's really difficult to see where the CF we desperately need is going to come from. The club have rejected, allegedly, the chance to buy Pato for £11m.
