it won’t be long before those same calibre sides come calling. Although Pool clearly have a much grander history than us its amazing how people perceive calibre, having finished last season about the same number of points ahead of us as they currently are just now. Calibre indeed!
Must admit Danny Ings had slipped my mind! http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/1...nny-ings-reacts-on-twitter-as-charlie-austin/
Some people obviously aren't appreciating the increased competition and entertainment over the last few, and especially this season. The Big Club marketing point of the premier league is so ingrained it dies hard. They would rather blithely adhere to outdated glossy promotional brochure than taking a look around and breathing in the new reality.
They day I take notice of what a tax avoiding, porn peddler has to say, is the day I take notice of a tax avoiding, porn peddler.
Just read this tribute from QPR fans, very classy... https://rollercoasterranger.wordpress.com/2016/01/16/charlie-austin-head-held-high/
Dont know if this has been said already but apparently liverpool will be offering 35 million for him in the summer...how true this is i dont know ?
Pundits on MOTD2 say Austin's transfer is a great piece of business and a no-brainer. Oh well, that's all right then. I was undecided up until then.
Nice that he is so highly regarded by the team he's leaving.. Certainly doesn't sound like he was disruptive, quite the contrary indeed.. Looking forward to seeing him in a striped shirt... From the interview it sounds like he's been given the challenge to get us in Europe ...
I wonder if we will see him next game. He has only been in training for a week and is QPR fit, not Southampton fit. I'd want to be sure before playing him....we are not desperate, so not worth taking any risk with a player coming back from injury.
Do we have any idea on his wages with gold spouting off about 100k pw? Can't see us spending that, thought our ceiling was about 50k?
