I actually have nothing against Beckham, he seems like a nice enough chap, he's just a bit dim, but that's doesn't really matter.

My problem with him getting a knighthood is that he's actually done **** all for England in the grand scheme of things.

He got sent off vs Argentina in 98, he jibbed out of the tackle against Brazil causing them to go up the other end and score and probably costing England the game. In 2006 he was anonymous and in Euro 2004 he missed a penalty in the shootout against Portugal. When you look at it, for a captain, he actually achieved very little with England and was almost always was one of the main culprits in costing England their place in the tournaments.
