Charlton and Bolton are struggling badly. Bristol and Rotherham not far off.

I will wager now that we will not be in a relegation scrap. It would take a monumental upturn in fortune for the sides named above, and an epic meltdown for us ( both things in conjunction obviously).

So we won't go up and won't go down, so let's kind of enjoy what remains of this season. What else remains to be said..?

    You R'sssssss of course!

I think that in this league a good run at the right time will usually see a sneaky play off place

We're 10 points clear of the drop and 11 points short of the play-offs. As you rightly say, Bolton and Charlton look hopeless at the moment and Bolton may be in administration tomorrow according to reports.

To reach the play-offs usually needs around 72 points, we have 34. That means 38 points from our remaining 19 games. Not impossible but highly unlikely given our form and the fact we are weaker now Charlie has gone. The sooner we pass 50 points the better, then we can plan for next season and relax, just write this season off as a blow-out...

It's also good to see the team getting a three nil on the road without any window additions to our squad yet.

We have wins in us still...

I'm not going to get carried away entertaining ideas about going on an unbeaten run. Finish the season comfortably in the playoffs...

I hope so but survival is the key!

I stiil can't help think yesterdays result was a wind up. Jeremy Beadle will rise from his grave and tell me with a cheeky grin "come on utr's, are you really that gulable to think 3nil on the road"....<laugh>

    Still buzzing from that score!

20% of our goals this season have been scored against Rotherham.

    This league eats itself
Nothing decided I think Hull and Burnley be top two
No reason why any team can't get a run right and get a play off place

Who ever it is the best ones usually are the ones on form running into the play offs it could be one of 12 teams but no good if it was us IMO

    We have building to do

Pretty much agree with DT, but add in Boro, as the top 3 fighting for the promotion places.

We have too many points to catch up to make a playoff place.

But, yes we need at least another season in the Championship, to continue building.

Sad isn't it, we've wasted so much time, and not just this season. Retaining Redknapp after we were relegated was the worst decision of many bad decisions. That was the time to change direction.

One could say the mistake was the amount of money that Hughes was allowed to spend

Clearly that was a mistake, and more the contracts offered than the transfer fees, but I can forgive that. Still in the first flush of elation after surviving the first season, an manager with a (supposed) plan and seemingly no constraints etc etc. Redknapp had been talking down his own team for months before we were relegated, and then we let him carry on.

Many a manager will "talk down" their teams prospects, and one of Redknapp's main faults was talking too much.
