NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't like the odds shortening on Appleton https://m.oddschecker.com/t/football/football-specials/bristol-city/next-permanent-manager
I would have kept SC if they go for him. Grow some balls board and get the right man in for the job of getting us in the prem. You know Who the person is,listen to the fan base.
Would be equally happy with Warnock or Pearson. I know loads hate Warnock but I guarantee he would be loved. One who is hated by other clubs but loved by your own, would build a great siege mentality.
A big fat no to Appleton, but as Imsaid on another thread, we nearly always go cheap when we sack mid season, Tinnion, Millen, McInnes....... If we appoint Appleton, that tells me the board have given up staying in the Championship and will probably not give him any funds until the summer, whilst hoping and praying we can somehow cling on in this league. Warnock is too old and past it now, maybe 5 years ago, but I honestly don't think he can cut it any more. I do not like Pearson or what he stands for, but right now he is the best option for us.
Listen to his talk last night,i guarantee you will change your mind. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03fmskp
Done it,been there, would be a fantastic appointment to get us away from the trap door. Long term NP Short term NW
True, he seemed decent enough, but also very non committal. Is it me, or does the whole it has to be the right fit, and commitment to him sound as though our board may be the reason for his reluctance to come right out and say he wants the job??
I get the vibes watching that we have had contact, their faces were like cheshire cats. I think he will be our next manager, if the lansdowns want a tilt at the prem,I get the vibes NP would come if the jigsaw can be put in place. SL is the only man that can get this deal done.
It may well be a case of all these managers we are talking about don't actually WANT to come to City?......with the exception of Appleton perhaps as it's a step up the ladder.
Not one has dimissed themselves from it,personally think it is a attractive and interesting proposition.
Looks like the Oxford fans don't want him to go and feel insulted that the majority of us City fans don't want Appleton. They think we are aiming too high with Pearson or Monk: http://yellowsforum.co.uk/thread/22749/appleton-favourite-bristol-city-job I like the comment about them playing us next season!
