Defo I normally sit in there and sing There are the odd ones in there singing but not heard Didnt go today so missed it!!! I heard about it on radio ,, was it loud
Yes it's worth a thread Yes it was loud ****ing great If I was buying property I'd buy it in the West Stand...it's clearly a place on the up !
The south stand is the worst in the ground. I am so glad my boys are old enough for the north. Congratulations to the west. Welcome aboard boys and girls. I keep thinking wouldn't it be great if we could get the chanting going round the ground, one stand at a time then all joining in for the crescendo.
The south did chip in. Although it was beyond confusing at that point as all three other stands were trying to reply and it was just a confusing noise.
I'm usually in North, a workmate couldn't go today so offered me his pass - in West Upper. I did try a few chants - even when the majority of the stand were doing "We're the West Stand...' there was still masses of moody old gits sat on their hands looking around bewildered. I haven't been up there in years - I now know where the Radio Humberside callers come from! The couple sat behind me... she was listening to Burnsy while watching the game - they came out with some right corkers. Here is a quick sample: "I think we need to be asking for our money back from this one!" - after less than 5 minutes gone. "I just heard it was a good goal" - the woman commenting on Burnsy's comments a few mins after Hernandez's first goal. "Bloody Hernandez! always, always offside!" - when being flagged offside, after bagging a hat-trick.
It was a bloke in the cabbage patch stood up waving everyone on who started it all off in the west. Met with cheers from North and East. What a hero. South did join in but east were at it at the same time.
Couldn't hear the South stand - they must have been tucking into their prawn sandwiches or enjoying a flask of tea. As always the West stand led the way
The atmosphere in the West stand was the best I have experienced it is a long while. EDIT: I thought the applause at 21 minutes was excellent and well observed and a great tribute to our dear departed fellow #hcafc friend.
