Gomis joined Swansea on a free transfer and the club agreed to pay him an £8 million signing-on fee, payable over his four-year contract. He is still due that fee if he leaves, meaning that the club need to recoup the £8 million Gomis earns around £55,000 a week .

You can bet your bottom dollar that that signing on fee will have a hefty performance related clause, to which Go-miss will not have met, though his transfer sale fee will probably be eaten up somewhat by the signing on fee, we may come out with a modest profit, but Huw dropped a big clanger with Go-miss.........<ok>

Didn't do himself any favours last night. We just as well had played with 9 men instead of putting him on.
Plus, if he's gone, then that would mean a new striker incoming :)

I would argue with that bit. He might get it, but he certainly doesn`t earn it.

My understanding of this is that the out of the 8 million signing on fee, he would have already have had 3 million from is year and a half with us. So a fee of 5 million would go to him, but get his wages off our books. I don't know, its just what I thought. Trouble is, who the hell in their right mind would pay that for him and give him 80 grand in wage
My understanding of this is slightly different. No actual knowledge, just what I thought. He will already have had 3 million of his signing on fee for the one and half years he has been with us. So if we sold him for 5 million, then all that would go to him. We would however get his wages off our books. Trouble is, who in their right mind would pay even 5 million for him. If I owned a club and a manager or scout came to me and recommended him I would sack them on the spot for gross negligence. On that note, whoever scouted and wanted Gomis on this ridiculous deal at our club should also be sacked. Unless he has already been. On another similar note, same goes for Eder. Oh my God. Have you actually seen him play. I was at the West Brom game. There was two lads behind me in absolute stitches about how awful he was. On the contrary, Ayew on a similar deal to Gomis I believe, Is a much classier acquisition and probably justifies the fee. Scouts and boardroom f@@k up and managers get sacked. Not really fair but that's football I suppose. P.s I am in my mid forties with a dodgy hip and I think I would put in more effort than Gomis, and I wouldn't worry about being loved by the fans or the club not getting me a birthday cake or some other ridiculous bullsh@t that these people come up with. When they are bad and behave like this, (II put shelvey in this camp too and can,t believe we got 12 mill for him) , taking away rational thought that football fans by their very nature do not have about their own clubs, these players are an absolute disgrace. Lucky as f@ck to be in the position they are in but must have a mindset not even matched by a stinking great big pile of dogsh@t.
    Sorry, rant over.

The only reason Gomis was brought in was Huw and the board thought Bony was going to leave in the summer imo.
Can't say to much about Eder except to say we spent 5 million on him and paying his wages .If we're not going to use him , sell him .
Although , as a general rule , if you don't get a chance to play , you don't play well when you get a chance .The same could be said for Tabanou.
Thought Eder played ok his 2nd start against Liverpool , started only two games ...back to back .His first start wasn't good though .

Free tip for the scouts. Can we buy naismith please. Apparently up for sale. Scores goals and i know you don,t think this is important, but he tries f@@king hard and wants to leave to play football. What a novel idea. Huw give Roberto a ring please. If he goes to Norwich who are also interested as reports go, then I may even start to believe that the board actually want us to go down.

You must have made a casual mistake Namjack and are talking about the Bournemouth game , Eder was injured during the Liverpool game and hasn't played a part in any game since , you and your buddies were right about him in the Bounemouth game though , he wasn't very good .

Yes, totally correct. I went to that one too, sorry. Only two I have been able to get a ticket for this year. But seriously, did you see how he played in that. I can't give much credence to the 'hasn't played many games' mantra, I have never seen anything like it in my life. They play it every day in training as they have done all through their life. The guy would head it on to himself and then run in a different direction. It's like Gomis with the offside thing. I mean come on. Surely in the strongest possible terms, with all due respect, he has NO footballing brain. A recent game when he didn't play, we only had 1 offside, another poster said this, but when Gomis plays he is ONLY ever offside. Even Defoe last night knew he was offside for one of the bloody goals.

If Eder is that bad , it makes buying him even worse by whoever bought him for 5 million and he should be sold for the funds and the saving of wages.
I only see games on the tube but thought he had a good game against Liverpool .
I'm tired of the striker fuk up we find ourselves in , and have been in for some time .
And nobody seems to be taking any responablity to fixing it at this very important time .
20 days left in the window.....tick tick .PS .I only brought the little mix up up as quick as possible so no one would have a go at you ....can be brutal around here sometimes ...lol
