    If Erdinc and Ba is the best Pardew can do then.... ****!

    This is not exactly what i had in mind when Pardew said he'd replace Carroll. It seems that what Beresford and Mark Douglas said in that evening talk i went to a few months back was right - We'll sign some unknown foreigner who we know nothing about.

    I'm surprised by all this Erdinc hate. Who are we expected to be able to attract with no European football to offer? I'd say Erdinc is about as high a calibre striker as we are likely to get at this time (if he signs)

    I seem to recall Tiote as being an unknown foreigner last year. C'mon guys, the post above is correct in stating that we can't boast european football, which is where a lot of top strikers want to be!

    There must be some truth in it all, no?

    As for Erding himself, I think he's got potential. He had a dodgy half season last year, but before and after that he was scoring goals. I just hope this is another Tiote-esque signing, someone that we're picking up cheaply and who will surprise everyone.
