But Klopp's correct from our point of view. "I have no problem with the number of games, the problem is we don't have enough players for the number of games." So until he has a chance to strengthen the team/squad in the summer Arsenal were always favourites tonight and the draw was admirable. But come sunday the visitors aren't as good as Arsenal so I expect a win, how bout you Diego?
Yep, and beyond the first half has gone quite well for the no-hopers so far. What do you see as most likely, Liverpool getting top 4 or Leicester winning the league (remember, over half a season has gone) ?
I thought every team had a 25 man squad? **** knows about Sunday, I never try to guess how we will play these days and you lot seem to turn up for the big games. My one bright light is you only seem to manage the tempo for 35/40 mins.
Neither will happen, in my opinion. Leicester don't have enough quality or depth to sustain a title winning run and we don't have a consistent source of goals & our back four is too shaky. I'd say Liverpool are more likely to get into the top 4 though because there's less margin for error while challenging for the title and when going for top 4 you get more second chances because the teams drop more points.
I'm not sure regarding Leicester you know. Another great win for them today without Vardy. I think they can get top 4. I think its more likely than us getting top 4 to be honest.
Wow what a game! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Firmino was MOTM - I would say it was a match winning performance but without the .. whole winning the match element. 4 games as the CF, 3 goals and 3 assists. His touch finally came back which allows him to play on instinct - something Lallana and Ibe need to learn because they kill so many attacks. Can was immense in the first half but regressed in the second half. Will put it down to tiredness as he had done so much in the first half. Defence was always going to struggle - Kolo is Kolo and Sakho is back from injury. I thought Benteke played a nice little cameo role but his positioning in the box is so poor, spends most of his time near the edge of the box. Apart from that, he did alright and got the important assist. I do like Allen and he should be starting ahead of Milner - still think we should sell Allen simply because he can never stay fit. If he could, he'd be a very good squad option. The less said about Migs, the better. Puts everyone under pressure. The goals and attacking play is there and has been there for a while - individual mistakes continue to cost us and these simply cannot be coached. Klopp will bring in players in summer.
Tired of coming on here reading and writing the same **** about our garbage, **** centre backs and goalkeepers. The problems have been there for years and it's embarrassing and disgraceful to the club that they haven't been addressed and/or attempts to address them have been a continual fail. None of our CBs are good enough to start in the first team, out of Sakho, Toure, Skrtel and Lovren, Sakho is the only one we should keep and who should be at the club and he's not a first team starting CB, far from it. The guy does not impress or inspire confidence. Toure is a relic, end of, get him down to the British Museum. Less said about the other ****s the better, they need packing off to the Dignitas for footballing careers. Neither of the goalkeepers should be at this club (Mignolet at a push would be an ok reserve keeper for the bench), the clowns are not fit to wear red. It's Laurel and ****ing Hardy all the time with these two. I think they're actually making silent movies together. Other than that good performance. Apart from y'know the whole getting the lead twice and then letting them equalise and then going behind. Great performance from Firmino. Guess it was the 1 out of 10 games where he decides to show up. Let's enjoy whilst it's there to be enjoyed eh. 10, 9, 8, 7 ... And the Welsh ****ing Pirlo thunders one in. What can you say about this season? It doesn't get stranger than this.
Coughs... you said he was not no 9. And I said I preferred him further forward. You have much to learn my young apprentice
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to BBC Sport: "We started so good and played so good football. It showed all of us how good we could be. "Then we concede a goal from a set play and we have to work at it. Organisation is one thing and sometimes we have a little problem with concentration. "We gave them two easy goals after we had to work really hard for our goals. We had many moments which I am happy with. "At 3-2, both teams had a low battery. We scored with a perfect pass, perfect header, perfect finish and nobody doubts it was deserved. "I have no problem with the number of games, the problem is we don't have enough players for the number of games." Klopp's #summary : Firmino worked really hard but Benteke and Allen are perfect
Yay Jimmy! (Don't lie....you were watching In the night garden)... I actually think with this league it shows how hard it is to buy good CB's, a good DM and a good Keeper...then have them gel. I mean..take Kompany out of MC and they are ****e. Chelsea on paper have the best but even with Mowhinio gone they do no look solid. Bar De Gea, United are poor at back. Bar Monreal, Arsenal can be got at. Spurs are probably playing the best at the back as a set up but still flawed. Maybe we are being hard on our lot...maybe defending IS a dying art.
Chuck a replica shirt on your pooch and I bet it'd do a better job in a top 6 defence than most players are ... go doggy chase it
Without a doubt...runs....gets the ball....then rips into you if you try to get it back! Unless you are my little nephew...then she just potters over and sets it in his hand....
very happy with that result in the end i think, i really was expecting a loss before the game and 100% wouldve taken a draw, evidently Klopp resting senior players and taking a calculated risk with the u-21s in the fa cup has paid dividends tonight, (while giving a fair few some much needed experience in a red shirt and of course belief, in coming from behind twice against Exeter) #newmessiahlol We surprisingly looked quite full of beans most of the game and klopp should take credit for the energy shown. just one point, Firmino so far under klopps system looks far more dangerous higher up the field, of course it hasn't worked in all the games hes played as a "false nine" but when it has worked, its providing us with exactly what we have been missing since suarez + sterling leaving and sturridge calling in sick for the last year or so. which is some industry up front, a quality 1st touch, clever movement , a splash of physicality garnished with a sprinkle of unpredictability in and around the box. Without studge at the moment apart from perhaps Ings (also out for the season) we have no intelligent movement or passionate hussle in the final third. i know a fair few on here have been berating him maybe because of the 30m fee (expecting instant impact) but when this lad finds his feet and has a set role and understands it within klopps ideals i can see him being a very very decent player for us in years to come and well worth the 30m in 5yrs time
