Were you at the game? We created just as much with the three up top after Hernandez went off as we did with him on, and also he could barely ruin so he had to come off anyway.
He lost the ball a couple of times but that's expected of a creative player, he was integral in everything good we did going forward.

Maguire is making Davies play better because, presuming he is always going to be first name on the team sheet, which of the two of them would you choose to play alongside Dawson? I bet Steve Bruce loves Maguire, his style is so similar to his own when in his pomp.

Perhaps we should slag off and slate a young lad who has come in and done a great job for the team.

Would that make you feel better?

Maguire is simply brilliant, he shows more composure on the ball than many midfielders.

No I wasn't unfortunately. It's good that this time we still managed to create chances, but given how many times taking off strikers and not replacing them hasn't worked people definitely have the right to question the decision. Also notable that chances were created but not put away, which is the job of a striker, perhaps with one on the field we would have scored more. I'm not saying Hernandez should have stayed on by the way, just that he should have been replaced by an actual centre forward.

I'd say it works more often than not tbh, people just complain loudly when it doesn't. Hernandez missed chances though and the only striker on the bench is Akpom and he's pretty gash, I suspect a backup striker is a priority in this window. We look so much better with Hernandez up top and Diamé behind him than when I've seen us play two strikers. He's the creative link we need in front of Livermore and Meyler because they don't make anything for us.

Last time I saw city play live was September. At the time I thought Clucas looked a complete liability. Cannot believe how much he has improved in that time. Well done Sam.

What other user-name do you use on here? Your style seems very familiar. Unfortunately.

    1. Maguire
    2. Hernandez
    3. Diame

Everyone else played well but Robertson was a little unnerving at times. He's young so hopefully he improves and progresses alongside our other talented youngster Maguire. Seriously, these two and Odubajo are our only young talented players and we bought them from other teams. When are we going to give our academy players a chance, at all?

Davies also had a solid game though the back line wasn't really threatened.
