I honestly feel that the only reason nobody has come in for any of our players, is due to the respect that Bruce has from many different managers, maybe at the start of the season but if managers in PL look at where we are now in the league. I honestly feel there is too much respect for Bruce to take a player away...when they know he's doing his best to get the team back up. Or we have a s***e bunch of players, which I don't think is the case.
Some of the better ones who have release clauses like Dawson and Diame have had injuries and so aren't as attractive. We buy people who have had injury problems but maybe some other clubs don't. Hernandez is the only one who might go, but if he's determined to keep in England (unlike N'Doye for instance) then he is more likely to keep here.
We can all have honest opinions Tony. I for one believe there are fairies at the bottom of my garden. Oh, and I also subscribe to Rudolph Steiner stuff, biodynamic horticulture, and moon gardening. Why pay now for something you can potentially have for free come the Summer? Equally players waiting to see what division we are in, get promoted they may stay otherwise goodbye City.
Rhetorical questions are the equivalent of a statement - they answer themselves - but yours doesn't. And I'm banging on about the barmy idea that other clubs won't come poaching Hull City players because they hold Steve Bruce in high regard. I've read some bizarre assertions on this website, but respect for Bruce preventing transfers just about takes the biscuit.
I think SB being here is the reason most of the team are here! It's been mentioned many times that we wouldn't be anywhere near without him. ( I know people don't like his tactics ) but it's clear as day that they play for SB not city! So for harper to say he has respect from the managers & they wouldn't try & sign a player might be Wishful thinking? He's got respect from the players which may help to keep them here? Obviously the ones we want to keep! The deadwood he can f,ck off asap.
