Well, my negative selection poem got its just desserts in the Palace thread. I'm going to try hyperbolic glee.

The match will start as it usually does
With a whistle from the man in black
There's pressure on this one, oh boy there is,
As we've wandered away from the track.

Early doors we'll give them what for
"They don't like it uppem," we'll cry
And Mané will wriggle right into the box
And flop to the ground for a TRY!

After his booking, he'll get up red-faced,
And show us his wonderful flair,
He'll get one on one and then just for fun
He'll ruffle their keeper's fair hair

We'll all look round in shock with just three on the clock
And notice we're already ahead
As that ball rolled in off JWP's shin
And all of the doubters drop dead

Ten minutes more and then goals galore
Will fill up that bright yellow net
As Clasie plays on for our very own Shlong
And he hits one he'll never regret

Then Big Vic will remember that only September
He was told he'd just have to stay
So he'll hustle and tussle with those giant muscles
And show us how well he can play

And by half time it would be a crime
If we had not scored just one more
But I say with glee to expect at least three
As we sing out with gusto the score

So after the match down on our patch
We'll walk home with smiles on our faces
As Stekelenburg avoids the iceberg
And we finally show our good graces.




Right, if we win now, I'll know I've been using my magic for ill and start writing a poem every week (about how I win the lottery).

Surely if I was moaning I would be saying 'We're crap, so and so is going to play badly, Koeman doesn't know the formations, the tactics will be all wrong' none of which I have said, none of which I particularly believe - all I have said is I have a bad feeling.

I presume I am allowed to have a bad feeling about an upcoming game of football? I sometimes feel confident about Saints too - this particular game I don't. I think a lot of fans believe we'll get something, [it's only Watford] I'm not so sure.

And I too am fed up with being fed up.

It's nothing new though I'm 'watching and following since 1969'.

I can be positive for this game simply because it cannot get any worse than it is at present!

Have I missed something? I thought Ron said that Forster was going to play for the U21s again tonight, but the line-up has Gazza in goal. So a setback in his recovery, or does Ron think he doesn't need another game afterall and is good to go for Wednesday?

Its easy Fraser is back, Pelle is back scores a hat trick with a stunner from Mane. 4-0 and meltdown over. Europe here we come etc etc

 

Far too soon for Fraser. If we throw him in, it would be crazy.
