I've seen stacks of Ben Arfa, i watch a fair bit of French football via bet365, so i know his qualities.

I wouldn't like to say who's the better of the 2, HBA is a better out and out winger, he's direct and pacey, and his early crossing is a massive asset.

Where they are similar, is the way they can both leave a player for dead, switch feet at speed and totally destroy a marker, both are incredibly well balanced, and both have the ability to strike from long range with little backlift and room for manouvre.

I'd LOVE to see them both in the same team, they would rip the living **** out of all comers, we're fortunate to have them, but you know that anyway.

These are players of Champions League class ability wise, no doubt in my mind.

When Sess signed he'd been on strike for 6 weeks and as a result was far from match fitness, he'd been insulted by the PSG coach, and had refused to play for him again.

Ben Arfa had done a full pre season.

Benny got a fitness coach whilst he was on strike too, why didn't Sess get one?

Re Ben Arfa's fitness coach, **** knows, maybe HBA was on better wages, having gone from Lyon to Marseille!

Cheers for your opinion <ok>. Sounds like the 20th could be something to behold if they're both on song!

Whilst I haven't seen much of Sessegnon play, I've seen bits and pieces on him in the Journal. Mark Douglas says that Bruce has been calling him his 'Little Drogba'. If he's in that class then boy do you have a player on your hands! A young Drogba tore us a new one for Marseille in 2004. Also, when Sessegnon first came to Sunderland, I saw an interview with a French athlete who had trained with Sessegnon and reckoned that he could be one of the top ten quickest people in France, as I said I haven't seen enough of him to see this pace but with his attributes, you might not need N'Zogbia ;).

There was talk that he's sub 10 seconds over 100 metres in boots, but there's been nowt to back it up.

I think Bruce is off comparing him with Drogba, unless he was referring to his strength, he's like a little ox!

My mate works at SAFC does some of the foundation coaching, he hoyed a phto of Sess on Facebook the other day before they set off for Germany, the lad looks like he was chiseled out of granite!

    Mighty toon,

I'll put my hands up and admit the size of there digitary was speculation on my part.

Well if Jose Enrique is (somehow) still at Newcastle come derby day, how about you stick Sessegnon on the right wing for ten minutes and let those two battle it out? ;)

Jose is also strong as an ox and I've yet to see anyone beat him for pace, so it would be interesting to watch to say the least.

    Ha ha,

I think the smart money would be on getting him running at Simpson and cutting inside, but he'll most likely be playing in a free role off Gyan, since we moved him there he's cracked 5 in 9 games (2 of these were friendlies, admittedly)

Enrique, i have a hunch, will stay for the season, and do a pre-contract to Valencia in January.

I say a hunch, but it's actually what somebody suggested to me over here a week or so back.

Alot of teams pinpoint Simpson as our weak spot. His performance levels vary. Take Arsenal at the Emirates last year, up against Nasri, he was absolute class. However Lennon had the beating of him every time for Spurs at St James'.

I wouldn't mind that with Enrique, I can't see us getting enough for him this summer to make him worth selling. Also it gives us time to show him that we are moving in the right direction.

Valencia would be an interesting move, i know he's from there but i think clubs with much bigger aspirations than them would be in for Enrique on a free.

I just think back to when we had Simpson, we didn't rate him at all, as a result, when he went to the Toon i kept an eye on him and whilst i admit to an improvement, it's certainly not a dramatic one, Colo, Taylor and Enrique are solid, so it's to be expected that teams will target Simpson.

Is he from Valencia? I dunno why but i thought he was a Mallorca lad?

Valencia are a Champions League side, i guess he'll either stay in England or head back to Spain, Barca and Real won't be interested, which leave Villareal (Possible, as Capdevila surely must start to decline at some point), Atletico (Filipe Luiz cost them 12million, so unlikely), Sevilla (Possible, but no CL football this year) and Valencia, who have Matheiu, who i think is poor.

It's all speculation, but Jose could be a perfect fit for Valencia or Villareal, more so Valencia as they play with a bit more pace.

Yeah he's from Valencia and actually signed for them before being sold to Villareal without playing any games. I'm thinking maybe Bayern or an Italian club. It'll be fine aslong as he doesn't join an english club.

I find it incredible that Arsenal or Liverpool haven't made a real effort, they are both desperate for a quality left back, i've got a feeling the Scousers may be spent up, but if they sell Meireles (a mistake in my opinion, to replace him with Jordan is batty), they may use that money to firm up on Jose.

I couldn't see him going to Italy, as the league is piss poor at the minute, and although Bayern were credited with an interest, i think now they've signed Boateng, they won't be looking at more defenders.

  16. You can have the crying french ****er. You really want a bloke that goes on a strike if he isn't happy at the club? 60k a week?

    Have him...

  20. Nzogbia has a history with this ****, and constantly has mood swings like a tart.

Ben Arfa and the owner of Marseilles had a disagreement and it sounded deep. Ben Arfa didn't officially go on strike, he missed a training session, then joined them again until his loan deal was complete.
