Too many mentally soft players in that team today.

He did play in the attacking trio during last summer's trip to Malaysia/Australia and performed very well in that role, although he's only played in the pivot since then.

"How do we approach the replay, now?"

    Blitzkrieg.

As I think Spurf said, Ranieri sets them up to be classic Italian in defence.
As the Spanners game showed, you can set up like that but eventually be overwhelmed
and not know what day it is.

Games like today remind me why there is no harm/shame in having pacey flank
players in the squad. As someone said, letting Son start there may be worth a look.

Our second choice players play so much better football than most team’s first choice. I was more impressed with how good we were to watch than anything else. I was annoyed at the draw, but on second thought am not. A number of players made strong cases for themselves today, especially Onomah, I think. Chadli and Carroll were also good. Giving our non starters another game strikes me as a good idea.

I can only watch the first half of Sunday 4 pm games, in case you were wondering why Spurs play then week after week. But having watched the replay, I don’t understand the penalty controversy. Dyer’s hand flies far away from his body and hits the ball. It’s not clear cut it was intentional, but the key thing for me is whether the arm was close to the body ín a natural position. It was nowhere near. If he wasn’t trying to hit the ball, it was very bad luck. But I think that one almost always gets called. I would not have guessed we would seriously try Son Alli Lamela but now I’d like to see it Wednesday. Onomah Alli Lamela is surely worth a run out as well. . Was the poor game from Alderwiereld a sign of how much his good play is the result of a partnership? We’ve played two and drawn two versus Leicester. It’s a bit of force vs. object stalemate, it seems. We’re good at playing mostly in their end, and they’re good at playing mostly in their end as well.

Really good start but when you're up against such a defensive side you have to really attack well to cause them problems and we didn't. Again. Crossing was lacking and movement in the box was poor.

I thought everyone other than Carroll and Alderweireld were decent today. Carroll simply doesn't look as good playing deeper in midfield and both he and Alderweireld got embarrassed by Okazaki, who tricked them far too easily. I've read Alderweireld was the one that lost Wasilewski for the equaliser too so one to forget for him. Vorm had one really poor clearance but overall didn't do too badly, although I'd still have much rathered Lloris as he can often give us that extra edge that we need. We certainly won't win the FA Cup if Vorm keeps starting anyway.

Not sure what the controversy was with the penalty. I had no idea what happened at the time but having seen the replays it's pretty stonewall. How far does a player have to punch the ball for it to be a foul? The media have been talking about arms being in "unnatural" positions for years with these types of decisions yet the match reports I've read somehow seem to think the penalty was unfair.

So how do we beat them on Wednesday? Hard to say but if we do take the lead again we need to call their bluff. If they're going to sit back we should just pass it around at the back, let them come to us if they want the ball. It's boring but Leicester are very effective at what they do, they want to defend and counter so there's no point playing into their hands if we're winning.

I'd agree. Pace down the flanks - getting behind them, is the best way to attack that kind of defense.

We missed most of our physical players - Kane, Alli, Dembele, Lamela, Walker and Vertonghen. We were too nice and let Leicester play as they wanted. I don't see that happening on Weds.

I'm probably going to get ridiculed for this but...never mind. I think that if we are going to rest Kane then we should pick Dele Alli as his understudy. He's tall, strong, quick, runs with the ball and without, can head the ball. finishes well and doesn't avoid a bit of rough stuff. Basically a defender's nightmare. I'd prefer we bought another striker really soon but please, let's not play Son there again?

I took some positives out of today because at half time, I couldn't see us losing, such was our dominance.

A part of me would dearly love to have a rant about the sheer folly of making so many changes and expect it to work, but as it looked to be working at half time, then maybe I'll not do so on this occasion. What does concern,me, is that whenever we meddle with the usual defence, we are dead certs to concede goals. Toby was affected by this and Vorm is a shadow of the keeper he looked at Swansea.

Credit to Kane for keeping a cool head on the penalty and thank goodness we're still in the competition. Hopefully our manager takes the replay a lot more seriously.

I was waiting eagerly for your take on the game OS as I know how peeved you were after the COCk debacle. As a goalkeeping coach, can you comment on what has gone wrong with Vorm? I'm beginning to think that our back-up defenders are actually quite competent (Fazio being the obvious exception), but that they have very little confidence in the back-up keeper playing behind them and their concentration goes as a result. Two uncharacteristic errors from Toby leading to both goals may be a case in point, I don't really know.

The difficulty here is that, as you yourself have said, we totally dominated the game from start to finish. It was like the first 45 against Everton but over 90 minutes this time. Crisp, accurate passing and some great give n go movement. What was blatantly lacking was one thing: cutting edge up front. I fail to see, off the back of what was a superb preformance from our second string, how much more 'seriously' Poch could've taken this, as the one glaring problem (apart from Vorm) was one that is currently beyond his wherewithall to address. Son clearly isn't cut out to lead the line. He can't play Harry every single game - what more is there for him to do? For me, a decent striker up top would've won the game for us. Son was consistently in the wrong place at the wrong time and tried to be too flash and too intricate every time he got into dangerous positions.

For me, this game underlined a very positive fact: Poch can and should rotate this squad as a number of the back ups are more than capable of doing a job. But it also highlighted the folly of starting the season with one recognised striker...

Do you think Dyer will start in goal after his excellent save today?

It wasn't Dyer, YV. Read his post. "Kane got a penno (cheers ref)". He thinks Kane won the 'penno'. Probably didn't even watch the game. Utter bellend.

We desperately need an alternative to Kane, Son is not a Centre Forward, that is plain for all to see. Still, just 3 more weeks to go and Levy might just sign us another CF if we are lucky.

I don`t get the outrage at the penalty, I agreed with co commentator Kilbane, it was a certain pen, Dyer`s hand deflected the ball from Rose`s path and prevented him from advancing, intentional or not that is a pen in my book, despite what the pro Leicester pundits said.
