He will have learnt a lot from last season with us and is a good strong finisher, a good signing for Sunderland if they get him
Good Finnisher, strong player too great at holding it up, after signing him he was easily out best player and despite being a mercenary he also plays like he cares, was never going to stay around but always gave 100% on the pitch
His career in Scandinavia and Russia means that he is only any good when it's freezing cold. He was hopeless come springtime.
This^ is spot on. At the end of last season, with us threatened with relegation, he just didn't care. He'd miss a sitter or give the ball away and just grin. He's a good striker when he makes the effort, but he's certainly not what you'd want in a relegation scrap. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season. I hope Sunderland stay up.
He's technically adept and strong. What he won't give you is pitch-stretching pace. If he's up for the fight, he might do well.

Was part of the reason we got relegated last season. Scores a few but misses many more. Defoe is your best hope for goals. SSN say a season loan with a view to it being permanent. However that wont happen if you go down. This ^^^^^ is about right. About as good as you can expect in January though. Good Luck. Sam will need it.
He scored that brace at Palace not far from end of the season, when I thought we might actually stay up.
